The 2023 USL League One season was the fifth season of USL League One.
Twelve teams participated in the 2023 season. Each team played ten teams three times and the one remaining team twice for a total of 32 games. Top six teams qualified for the playoffs. [1] Lexington SC entered as an expansion team and One Knoxville SC joined from USL League Two. [2] [3] [4] FC Tucson left to rejoin USL League Two. [5]
Tormenta FC are the defending champions, having defeated Chattanooga Red Wolves in the 2022 final.

They remain a member club of the league, and plan to return for the 2021 season. Nine teams return from the inaugural season, while three new teams enter for the first time; MLS reserve teams Fort Lauderdale CF and New England Revolution II, and expansion club Union Omaha.
