The 2024 USL Championship season is the 14th season of the USL Championship and the seventh season under Division II sanctioning. The 2024 season has 24 teams participating in two conferences during the regular season. Conference realignment moved Memphis 901 FC and FC Tulsa to the Western Conference, while expansion sides North Carolina FC and Rhode Island FC joined the Eastern Conference. [1] Phoenix Rising FC are the defending league champions and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC are the defending Players' Shield winners.

Solomon Asante is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a winger for USL Championship club Las Vegas Lights. With Phoenix Rising FC, he was named the 2019 and 2020 USL Championship Most Valuable Player (MVP). With Indy Eleven, Asante became the first player in USL Championship history to record 50 career goals and career assists.

Phoenix Rising Football Club is an American professional soccer team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2014 as Arizona United Soccer Club, the team is a member of the USL Championship. They won the league championship in 2023, defeating the Charleston Battery 3–2 on penalty kicks after a 1–1 draw in regulation time.

The 2019 USL Championship season is the ninth season of the USL Championship and third under Division II sanctioning. This is the first season in which the league is operating under the name "USL Championship," having used the name "United Soccer League" through 2018. The season began on March 8, 2019, and concluded on October 20, 2019; with each team playing 34 matches. 36 teams competed in the 2019 USL Championship season, split into 2 conferences of 18 teams each. The 2022 USL Championship season is set to begin on March 12, with New Mexico United set to play their first competitive game against Las Vegas Lights FC.

The 2023 San Antonio FC season was the club's eighth season of existence. Including the San Antonio Thunder of the original NASL and the former San Antonio Scorpions of the modern NASL, it was the 14th season of professional soccer in San Antonio. The club played in the USL Championship, the second division of the United States soccer league system, and participated in the U.S. Open Cup. San Antonio were the reigning USL Champions. They came off their most successful season in club history in which they captured five trophies; the Copa Tejas, Copa Tejas shield, USLC regular season title, the Western Conference championship, and the USL Championship by beating Louisville City FC 3-1 in the 2022 USL Championship Final.

The 2023 USL Championship season was the 13th season of the USL Championship and the seventh season under Division II sanctioning. The 2023 season had 24 teams participating in two conferences during the regular season. San Antonio FC were the defending champions.

The 2024 USL League One season will be the sixth season of USL League One, a professional men's soccer league in the third tier of the United States league system.

The 2024 El Paso Locomotive FC season will be the sixth season for El Paso Locomotive FC in the USL Championship, the second tier of professional soccer in the United States and Canada.

The 2024 Rhode Island FC season is the first ever season for Rhode Island FC. The club debuted in the USL Championship, the second tier of professional soccer in the United States.
