Los Angeles FC 2 is an American professional soccer team that is located in the Greater Los Angeles, California area. It is the reserve team of Los Angeles FC and participates in MLS Next Pro.
During the regular season, teams played 28 matches each in a mostly regionalized schedule. Each conference was divided into divisions of seven or eight teams for scheduling. [1]
MLS Next Pro allows for up to 35 players on a roster. Roster slots 1 through 24 are reserved for players on professional contracts. The remaining 11 slots are for amateur MLS Academy players (who are unpaid, must be under the age of 21, be part of the team's academy, and have never signed a professional contract or played in the NCAA). [2]

The 2021 Seattle Sounders FC season was the club's thirty-eighth year of existence, and their thirteenth season in Major League Soccer, the top flight of American soccer. The team was under the management of Brian Schmetzer in his fifth full MLS season as head coach of the Sounders. Seattle were the reigning Western Conference champions and lost to Columbus Crew SC in the MLS Cup 3–0.
The 2021 FC Dallas season was the club's 26th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of American soccer. On September 19, Luchi Gonzalez was relieved of duties as head coach. Marco Ferruzzi served as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2021 season.

The 2022 Rochester New York FC season was the club's 23rd overall and first in MLS Next Pro. It was the first year since 2017 the club has played, and their first season under the Rochester New York FC name, after spending the first 22 seasons branded as the Rochester Raging Rhinos and Rochester Rhinos. The club was the only independent team playing in MLS Next Pro, and was one of the two teams from the league to participate in the 2022 U.S. Open Cup, alongside St. Louis City SC 2.

The 2023 MLS Next Pro season was the second season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It featured 27 clubs—an increase of seven from the inaugural 2022 season. Atlanta United 2, New York Red Bulls II and LA Galaxy II joined the league from the USL Championship. The expansion teams include Austin FC II, Crown Legacy FC, Huntsville City FC, and Los Angeles FC 2. Rochester New York FC withdrew. The regular season ran from March 24 to September 24.
The 2023 Austin FC II season was the club's first season in MLS Next Pro, the third tier of soccer in the United States. They played in the league's Western Conference. The club finished the regular season 4th in the Western Conference and 8th overall in the regular season, qualifying for the MLSNP play-offs. In the four play-off games, Austin FC II only allowed one goal on their way to the MLS Next Pro Cup.
The 2023 LA Galaxy II season was the club's 10th season in existence, and their first season in the MLS Next Pro.
The 2024 Colorado Rapids season is the 29th season of the club's existence and the 29th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of soccer in the United States.
The 2024 season for Ventura County FC is the club's 11th season in existence, their second in the MLS Next Pro, the third tier of American soccer. It was their first season under the Ventura County FC name after LA Galaxy II was renamed.
