The 2019 Music Awards Ceremony (often simply called the MAC) is the first edition of the annual awards presented by Belgrade-based company, Sky Music to recognize achievements in the regional music industry of former Yugoslavia of the eligibility year, which ran from January 1, 2017, to August 30, 2018. The event, sponsored by Huawei, was held on 29 January 2019 at Štark Arena in Belgrade. [1] [2] The 2019 MAC was presented by Serbian musician Zvonimir Đukić, Croatian singer and presenter Ida Prester, and Bosnian presenter Aida Jokanović.

All income from tickets sales and SMS votes was donated to UNICEF. [2]

Marija Šerifović is a Serbian singer. Born in Kragujevac, she is best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland with "Molitva", becoming Serbia's first and to date only winning entry.

Aleksandar Pejović, better known as Aco Pejović, is a Serbian singer from Prijepolje. Debuted in 2000, he came to more significant prominence upon the release of his second album, Prevara (2002). Pejović has released eight studio albums and has collaborated with fellow-singers like Dženan Lončarević, Zorica Brunclik, Edita Aradinović, Aleksandra Prijović, Dejan Matić and Emina Jahović.

Aleksandra Radović is a Serbian singer-songwriter from Bogatić. She made her recording debut in 2003 and has since collectively released five studio albums. Radović has won numerous regional industry awards for pop music.

Dragan Lakićević is a Serbian poet, storyteller, novelist, translator and editor of literature. Lakićević's work has been translated into Russian, Greek, English, German, Swedish, Dutch, Polish, Italian, Belarusian, Romanian and Armenian. He has lived in Belgrade since 1972.

Nevena Ivanović is a Serbian singer and songwriter. She made her singing debut by representing Serbia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with song "Piši mi", placing third. Božović rose to prominence as the runner-up on the televised singing competition Prvi glas Srbije in 2012.

Sara Jovanović, professionally known as Sara Jo, is a Serbian singer, songwriter, model and actress. Born in Rome, she came to prominence upon competing on Prvi glas Srbije in 2012, finishing in 3rd place. Subsequently, as a member of Moje 3, Jovanović represented Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden with "Ljubav je svuda". They placed 11th in the semi final, failing to reach the grand final.

Nikolija Jovanović is a Serbian singer and rapper. Daughter of folk singer Vesna Zmijanac, Jovanović was born in Zagreb and raised in Belgrade. Nikolija debuted in 2013 with the single "Ćao zdravo" and has since released four studio albums: №1 (2016), Yin & Yang (2019), Aurora (2022) and Lavina (2024), as well as numerous other standalone singles. Her music videos have collectively accumulated over 700 million views on YouTube.

Milica Pavlović is a Swiss-born Serbian singer. She came to prominence as a contestant on the singing competition show Zvezde Granda in 2011. Pavlović has released five studio albums: Govor tela (2014), Boginja (2016), Zauvek (2018), Posesivna (2022) and Lav (2023).

Bojana Vunturišević is Serbian singer-songwriter. Born in Požarevac and raised in Kostolac, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of Svi na pod!. In 2015, Vunutrišević began her solo career and has released two critically acclaimed albums: Daljine (2017) and Ljubav (2023). Additionally, she has written hit-singles for other prominent regional artists, such as Nataša Bekvalac, Sara Jo, Senidah and Franka.

Nevena Ivanović is a Serbian fashion designer behind the brand NEO Design. The label is known for being inspired by Japanese culture and hairstyles, as well as African and Balkan fashion. According to Italian Vogue, Ivanović "... knows how to use different fabrics and textures in an elaborate and fascinating way, including lace, neoprene, stretch materials, chiffon and leather, thus creating a modern, futuristic yet feminine and intriguing silhouette."

Stefan Đurić, better known as Rasta, is a Serbian rapper, singer, songwriter and producer from Priština. Recognized as one of the most popular Serbian artists of his generation, Rasta is known for popularizing the Auto-Tune pitch correction effect in the western Balkans and for often promoting marijuana in his songs.

Slobodan Vladušić is a Serbian writer and associate professor of Serbian literature at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Novi Sad.

Ana Šekularac is a British-Serbian fashion designer based in London. She is known for her tailored pieces, being inspired by Art-Deco silhouettes, and for incorporating a red, black and white color palette.

Kristina Kockar, better known as Kija Kockar, is a Serbian television host and singer from Zrenjanin, who rose to prominence by winning the first season of the Serbian reality television show Zadruga in 2018.

Senida Hajdarpašić, known by her stage name Senidah, is a Slovenian singer-songwriter. The 2020 Music Awards Ceremony was held on 27 January 2020 at the Štark Arena in Belgrade. It was the second edition of Sky Music's annual award ceremony to recognize achievements in the regional music industry of former Yugoslavia for the eligibility year, which ran from January 1, 2018 to August 30, 2019. The event was hosted by Serbian presenter Galeb Nikačević, Macedonian singer Tamara Todevska and Croatian presenter Ana Radišić.

Ana Đurić, known professionally as Konstrakta, is a Serbian singer and songwriter. She had risen to prominence as the lead vocalist of the indie pop band Zemlja gruva!, which was founded in 2007, before pursuing her solo career in 2019. She gained more significant recognition by representing Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "In corpore sano", finishing in fifth place.

The Music Awards Ceremony are annual popular music awards for Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro presented by Skymedia Group. The awards were first held on 29 January 2019 at the Belgrade Arena. The MAC is broadcast on several regional television networks, as well as via YouTube. It consists of up to 20 different categories, which are based on public votes, and other special awards, whose winners are determined by the organizers. MAC is recognized as one of the highest profile music awards ceremony in the western Balkans.
