Granollers played alongside Ivan Dodig and successfully defended the title, defeating Fabrice Martin and Édouard Roger-Vasselin in the final, 7–5, 7–6(8–6). Sock teamed up with Nicholas Monroe, but lost to Dodig and Granollers in the semifinals.
Robin Haase and Matwé Middelkoop were the defending champions, but chose to compete in Doha instead.

The Singapore Tennis Open was a new addition to the ATP Tour in 2021.
Defending champions Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah successfully defended their title, defeating Kevin Krawietz and Horia Tecău in the final, 6–4, 6–2, to win the doubles tennis title at the 2021 Barcelona Open. The top seeds did not drop a set en route to their 18th career ATP Tour doubles title together. Krawietz and Tecău were in contention to win their first title as a team.
Hugo Nys and Tim Pütz defeated Luke Bambridge and Dominic Inglot in the final, 7–5, 3–6, [10–3], to win the doubles tennis title at the 2021 Estoril Open. It was Nys and Pütz's first title as a team in their second tournament together on the ATP Tour, marking Nys's second and Pütz's third individual career tour-level doubles titles. Bambridge and Inglot were in contention for their first title as a team after reaching their first tour-level final without dropping a set.
Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert defeated Alexander Bublik and Andrey Golubev in the final, 4–6, 7–6(7–1), 6–4, to win the men's doubles title at the 2021 French Open. It was their second French Open title and fifth major title together. They saved match points in their semifinal match against Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah. Bublik and Golubev became the first male Kazakhstani players to reach a major final.
Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić defeated Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–5), 2–6, 7–5, to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was their 8th title of the year, with Mektić winning his first major title in doubles and Pavić winning his third, following previous victories at the 2018 Australian Open and 2020 US Open. They also became the first Croatian pair to win the Wimbledon doubles title.
Marcel Granollers and Sergiy Stakhovsky were the reigning champions from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but chose not to defend their title.
Pablo Carreño Busta and Alex de Minaur were the defending champions, but Carreño Busta chose not to defend his title and de Minaur played alongside Cameron Norrie instead. They lost in the quarterfinals to Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.
Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios defeated Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men's doubles title at the 2022 Australian Open. They became the first all-Australian pair to win the title since Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde in 1997, and the first wildcard champions in the Open Era. The final marked the first all-Australian men's doubles final at the Australian Open since 1980.
