The four team, double-elimination tournament winner, Loyola Marymount, earned the league's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [1]

The 2013 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 23 through May 25 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. It was the first postseason championship event sponsored by the West Coast Conference since 2009, the first such event to be held at a neutral site, and the first to feature more than two teams. In the championship game, San Diego defeated San Francisco, 2–0, to win its first tournament championship. As a result, San Diego earned the league's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2014 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 24, 2014 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament, outside of the championship game, which is winner takes all, winner earned the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The NCAA approved the use of experimental instant replay rules during the event. These rules are generally only in force during the College World Series, and allow umpires to use video to review fair/foul, home run, and spectator interference calls. The WCC made history in the Gonzaga/ Santa Clara elimination game when they had the first collegiate baseball review in history. The feat would be repeated in the WCC Championship, marking the second time replay has been used in a collegiate baseball game.

The 2014 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood acted in his 2nd season as head coach of the Cougars. The Cougars came off a season where they exceeded expectations. After being picked to finish sixth, the Cougars finished in a 3-way tie for second and eliminated regular season champion Gonzaga in the WCC tournament. The Cougars would finish 32–21.

The 2017–18 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Mark Few, who was in his 19th season as head coach. The team played its home games at McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Washington. This was the Bulldogs 38th season as a member of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 32–5, 17–1 in WCC play to win the WCC regular season championship. They defeated Loyola Marymount, San Francisco and BYU to become champions of the WCC Tournament. They received the WCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated UNC Greensboro and Ohio State to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to Florida State.

The 2009 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship Series was held on May 22 and 23, 2009 at San Diego's home stadium, Patterson Baseball Complex in Spokane, Washington, and pitted the top two finishers from the WCC regular season. The event determined the champion of the West Coast Conference for the 2009 NCAA Division I baseball season. Gonzaga won the series two games to none over Loyola Marymount and earned the league's automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This would be the final postseason conference championship for the WCC until a four-team tournament was launched in 2013.

The 2020–21 West Coast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in September 2020 and ended with the 2021 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament in March 2021. This was the 70th season for WCC men's basketball, and the 32nd under its current name of "West Coast Conference". The conference was founded in 1952 as the California Basketball Association, became the West Coast Athletic Conference in 1956, and dropped the word "Athletic" in 1989.

The 2022 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood began the season as acting head coach of the Cougars for a tenth consecutive season. However on April 11 Littlewood announced he was stepping away from BYU Baseball due to personal reasons that were undisclosed. Assistant coach Trent Pratt was named acting head coaching for the remainder of the season.

The 2022 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 25 through May 28, 2022 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The six team tournament winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
