The 2013 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 23 through May 25 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. It was the first postseason championship event sponsored by the West Coast Conference since 2009, the first such event to be held at a neutral site, and the first to feature more than two teams. In the championship game, San Diego defeated San Francisco, 2–0, to win its first tournament championship. As a result, San Diego earned the league's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3]

Seeding

The top four finishers from the regular season were seeded one through four based on conference winning percentage. The teams then played a double elimination tournament. However, the championship was a single-elimination game.

Most Outstanding Player

Troy Conyers was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Conyers was a pitcher for San Diego who made his first career collegiate start in the championship game, and turned in a complete game shutout to earn the win. He recorded nine strikeouts while allowing only two hits. [4]

The West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The winner of the tournament each year is guaranteed a place in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament for that season. Through 2008, the tournament was played on a rotating basis at the home courts of member teams. Florida Gulf Coast Eagles

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles refer to the fifteen sports teams representing Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis; women's-only: softball, swimming and diving, indoor volleyball, and beach volleyball; and men's-only: baseball. The Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the ASUN Conference (ASUN). FGCU is also notable as the youngest institution competing in NCAA Division I, having been officially founded in 1991 and started classes in 1997. Their mascot is Azul the Eagle.

Gonzaga, which entered the tournament as the top-ranked team in both major polls, claimed the school's 12th tournament title overall and 10th under current head coach Mark Few.

All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at San Diego State University's Tony Gwynn Stadium. Top seeded BYU won their first Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship with a championship game score of 4–3 and earned the conference's new automatic bid to the 2001 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

2013 BYU Cougars baseball team

The 2013 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood was in his 1st season as head coach of the Cougars. BYU's baseball team came off a 2012 season in which they were 22–27. The Cougars played their home games at Larry H. Miller Field, part of the Miller Park Baseball/ Softball Complex. Picked to finish sixth in the WCC, BYU stunned most people and finished in a 3-way tie for second place. The Cougars won the #3 seed in the WCC Tournament where they knocked out #1-seed Gonzaga. BYU lost twice to eventual tournament champion San Diego to finish the season 32–21.

The 2014 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 24, 2014 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament, outside of the championship game, which is winner takes all, winner earned the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The NCAA approved the use of experimental instant replay rules during the event. These rules are generally only in force during the College World Series, and allow umpires to use video to review fair/foul, home run, and spectator interference calls. The WCC made history in the Gonzaga/ Santa Clara elimination game when they had the first collegiate baseball review in history. The feat would be repeated in the WCC Championship, marking the second time replay has been used in a collegiate baseball game.

2014 BYU Cougars baseball team

The 2014 BYU Cougars baseball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. Mike Littlewood acted in his 2nd season as head coach of the Cougars. The Cougars came off a season where they exceeded expectations. After being picked to finish sixth, the Cougars finished in a 3-way tie for second and eliminated regular season champion Gonzaga in the WCC tournament. The Cougars would finish 32–21.

Pepperdine won the four team, double-elimination tournament winner for the second year in a row to earn the league's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

2015 BYU Cougars softball team

The 2015 BYU Cougars softball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2015 NCAA Division I softball season. Gordon Eakin entered the year as head coach of the Cougars for a 13th consecutive season. 2015 was the second season for the Cougars as members of the WCC in softball. The Cougars entered 2015 having won their last 6 conference championships and as the favorites in the WCC. After sweeping a double header from Santa Clara on May 1, BYU won the 2015 WCC regular season title and became the first team to clinch a spot in the 2015 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. The berth would be BYU's eleventh consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament.

The 2016 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 26 through May 28, 2016 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. Saint Mary's won the four team, double-elimination tournament winner to earn the league's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 25 through May 27, 2017 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. BYU won the four team, double-elimination tournament and earned the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2018 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 24 through May 26, 2018 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2019 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the West Coast Conference during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, held March 7–12 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Saint Mary's upset top-ranked Gonzaga 60–47 in the championship game and received the conference's automatic bid to the 68-team NCAA Tournament.

The 2019 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 23 through May 25, 2019 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California. The four team, double-elimination tournament winner, Loyola Marymount, earned the league's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
