The 2013 Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas from May 15 through May 19, 2013. First seed from the East Jackson State won their fifteenth tournament championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3] [4]
The double elimination tournament features the top four teams from each division, leaving Mississippi Valley State and Grambling State out of the field.
The top four finishers in each division were seeded one through four, with the top seed from each division facing the fourth seed from the opposite division in the first round, and so on. The teams then played a two bracket, double-elimination tournament with a one-game final between the winners of each bracket. Prairie View A&M claimed the third seed from the West over Texas Southern by tiebreaker.

Alexander Juday was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. Juday was a pitcher for Jackson State who earned the victory in the championship game with a complete game and nine strikeouts, while yielding nine hits and two runs. [4]
The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is a collegiate athletic conference headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, which is made up of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; in football, it participates in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly referred to as Division I-AA.

The 2019 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament began on May 15 and ended on May 18, 2019 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL. It was a six-team double elimination tournament. The winner, Florida A&M, claimed the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Bethune-Cookman had claimed sixteen of the prior twenty tournament championships, with North Carolina A&T earning the 2005 and 2018 titles, Florida A&M winning in 2015, and Savannah State in 2013.
The 2019 SWAC Women's Basketball Tournament took place March 12–16, 2019. Tournament first-round games were held on campus sites at the higher seed on March 12. The remaining rounds and the semifinals and championship at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The winner, Southern, received the Southwestern Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament.
The 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Toyota Field in Madison, Alabama from May 19 through May 23. Southern won the Tournament for the 17th time and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
