The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi, United States. [2] The team is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Magnolia Field in Itta Bena, Mississippi. CJ Bilbrey is the team's head coach starting in the 2024 season.
Fourteen-year head coach Doug Shanks retired on November 12, 2014. [3] After serving as an assistant to Shanks for all 14 seasons, Aaron Stevens was promoted to head coach on December 2, 2014. [4] On the heels of back-to-back win-less seasons in 2020 and 2021, Stevens was not retained for the 2022 season. [5] On July 27, 2021, Stanley Stubbs was named the head coach of the Delta Devils. [6] With the Delta Devils improving by 10 wins over the previous season, Stubbs had done a good job helping turn around the Delta Devils fortunes, but on June 15, 2022, head coach he resigned due to health concerns. [7] On August 11, 2022, Milton Barney Jr. was named the head coach of the Delta Devils. [8]

Rice–Totten Stadium is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose stadium location in Itta Bena, Mississippi, United States. It serves as the home field of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils football team of Mississippi Valley State University. The stadium opened in 1958 as Magnolia Stadium and was renamed in 2000 in honor of former MVSU football players Jerry Rice and Willie Totten, who set many NCAA Division I-AA records in the 1980s. Rice went on to a 20-year career in the National Football League (NFL) and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Totten played professional football for several years after college and then went into coaching, serving as the head football coach at Mississippi Valley State from 2002 to 2009. He is one of the few college football coaches to have coached a game at a facility named after themselves

Milton Jeffery Barney Jr. is a baseball coach and former infielder, who served as the head baseball coach of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. He played college baseball at Southern in 2007 and Grambling State from 2008 to 2010.
