The 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide women's soccer team represented the University of Alabama during the 2020 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The fall season began on September 19, 2020, and concluded with the SEC Tournament. The spring season began on February 19, 2021 and was set to conclude on April 10. It was the program's 29th season fielding a women's varsity soccer team. The 2020 season was Wes Hart's 5th year as head coach for the program.
The SEC was one of the few conferences to play a fall season, with each team playing eight conference games, with the SEC Tournament in November. [1]
On November 4, 2020, the NCAA approved a plan for college soccer to also be played in the spring, along with the 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament. [2]

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its sixteen members include the flagship public universities of twelve states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The record was previously held by a game played between Western Michigan and Buffalo on October 7, 2017, which had 139 combined points over seven overtimes. The 2018 LSU–Texas A&M game went likewise to seven overtimes and lasted nearly five hours, tying the NCAA record for longest football game with four others. The 146 combined points are currently the second most in college football history since the NCAA started keeping records in 1937, behind the 161 points scored in a 2008 NCAA Division II game between Abilene Christian and West Texas A&M of the Lone Star Conference. The game also holds the record for most points scored in a Southeastern Conference game.

The Texas A&M Aggies were the defending champions, but they were eliminated from the 2018 tournament with a 2–1 loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks in the quarterfinals. The ten-team single elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Vanderbilt Commodores are the defending champions. The Commodores were unable to defend their crown, losing to Florida in the First Round. Tennessee won the tournament with a 1–0 victory over Arkansas in the final. The conference championship is the fifth for the Tennessee women's soccer program and the first for head coach Brian Pensky. As tournament champions, Tennessee earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The Gamecocks were unable to defend their crown, losing to Texas A&M in the Quarterfinals. Georgia won the tournament with a 1–0 victory over Arkansas in the final. The conference championship is the first for the Georgia women's soccer program, and first for second-year head coach Keidane McAlpine. As tournament champions, Georgia earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
