The boys' doubles tournament of the 2020 European Junior Badminton Championships was held from 2 to 7 November. Fabien Delrue and William Villeger from France clinched this title in the last edition.

Monica Seles defeated Jana Novotná in the final, 5–7, 6–3, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1991 Australian Open. She became the first woman in the Open Era to win the Australian Open after saving a match point, doing so in the semifinals against Mary Joe Fernández.
Chanda Rubin and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario were the defending champions but they competed with different partners that year, Rubin with Brenda Schultz-McCarthy and Sánchez Vicario with Larisa Savchenko.
