The 2020 General Aung San Shield (Burmese : Bogyoke Aung San Shield) was scheduled to be the sixth season of Myanmar knockout football competition. The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Football Federation. This cup succeeded the Myanmar Football Federation Cup.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Myanmar this edition of the tournament was cancelled and declared null and void by the Myanmar Football Federation. At that time, the preliminary round had been played.
Twenty-five teams, including MNL, MNL 2, and five amateur clubs will compete in the tournament with first round matches involving 12 teams: 10/Mon versus Paung Laung, University versus Kachin United, Junior Lions versus Yaw Myay, Myawady versus champion of the Yangon Premier League, Silver Stars versus play-off winner from amateur teams, and Mawyawady versus Happy Friendship on April 8 and 9. On 16 May 2009, the league launched its inaugural two-month tournament, the Myanmar National League Cup 2009 in preparation for the first full season in 2010. Despite its national ambitions, the league held the MNL Cup 2009 matches in the country's two main stadiums in Yangon due to the lack of adequate facilities elsewhere. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon FC defeated Yangon United FC in the MNL Cup final to become the first-ever MNL Champions.
Yangon United Football Club is a Burmese football club, based at Yangon United Sports Complex, in Yangon, Myanmar. Owned by Tay Za, a prominent Burmese businessman, the club was one of eight teams that participated in the inaugural edition of the Myanmar National League in 2009, where they finished as runners-up. The club have won a record of 5 league titles, 3 General Aung San Shield and 3 MFF Charity Cup.

Ayeyawady United Football Club is a Burmese professional football club based in Pathein. The club was a founding member of the Myanmar National League (MNL) in 2009, and represents the Ayeyarwady Division in lower Myanmar. The club finished tied for the last place in the league's inaugural cup competition, the MNL Cup 2009. The club owners of Delta United have changed four times. Currently, a total of 26 entrepreneurs from Ayeyawady Region are successfully running the club. Ayeyawady United Football Club is the first ever Runner-up team in Myanmar National League with an unbeaten record for 25 matches. This record was broken by the match against with Zeyarshwe Myay F.C.

Moukailou scored for Yadanarbon FC. Ayeyawady qualified to AFC Cup competition with its win. The match was played at Bogyoke Aung San Stadium in Yangon. on 27 September 2015 and was the final match of the Bogyoke Aung San Cup.
The MFF Charity Cup is Myanmar football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Myanmar National League season and the holders of the General Aung San Shield at Aung San Stadium. If the Myanmar National League champions also won the General Aung San Shield then the league runners-up provide the opposition.
