The 2020 Global Awards ceremony was held on Thursday, 5 March 2020 at London's Eventim Apollo and was sponsored by very.co.uk. [1] Roman Kemp and Myleene Klass returned to host the ceremony and were joined by Kate Garraway who replaced Rochelle Humes
Performances and special appearances included Ellie Goulding, Stereophonics, Camila Cabello, Aitch, Tones and I, Aled Jones and Russell Watson. [2]
The list of nominees was announced in January 2020. Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi were the most nominated male singers. [3] The most nominated female singers were Dua Lipa and Camila Cabello. [4] [5]

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is an American singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Work on the album began in January 2017, following Cabello's departure from the girl group Fifth Harmony. The project was originally titled The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., with Cabello's debut solo single "Crying in the Club" intended as the lead single. The album was later retitled Camila with "Havana" serving as its official lead single due to the rising success of the song, and "Crying in the Club" was cut from the final track listing. "Havana" became an international success, topping the charts of multiple countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, the UK, and the US, and reaching the top 10 of several others. Primarily a pop record, it also incorporates elements of R&B, Latin, reggaeton, dancehall and hip hop. Camila was produced by Frank Dukes, Skrillex and T-Minus, among others.
"Havana" is a song recorded by Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello featuring fellow American rapper Young Thug. It was released on August 3, 2017, along with "OMG", from her solo debut album, Camila (2018). It was initially released as a promotional single, then was serviced to radio on September 8, 2017, as a single. Due to its rising success, "Havana" later became the official lead single of Camila, replacing "Crying in the Club". In November 2017, a remix version of the song with Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee was uploaded to Cabello's YouTube page. The first verse of the remix is sung in Spanish while Daddy Yankee replaces Young Thug's verse.

This edition of the MTV Video Music Awards saw yet another severe drop in ratings, only achieving a mere 2.2 million viewers on MTV, and only seeing 4.87 million viewers on all of its sister networks.

It was released through Epic Records as the second single from Cabello's third studio album, Familia, on March 4, 2022. "Bam Bam" is a Latin pop song with a tropical and salsa-infused pre-chorus and chorus. It marks the second collaboration between Cabello and Sheeran, following the earlier single, "South of the Border", from Sheeran's fourth studio album, No.6 Collaborations Project (2019).
