The 2020 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships was scheduled to be the 99th NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the 39th NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. [1] In total, forty-two different men's and women's track and field events were to be contested from Wednesday, June 10 to Saturday, June 13, 2020. [2] On March 12, 2020, the event was cancelled by the NCAA due to the coronavirus pandemic. [3]

NCAA Division I Womens Indoor Track and Field Championships

The NCAA Women's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championship is an annual collegiate indoor track and field competition for women from Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Athletes' performances in individual championships earn points for their institutions and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I men's competition is also held. These two events are separate from the NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and NCAA Men's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships held during the spring. The first edition of the championship was held in 1983. The current team champions are the Florida Gators. The LSU Lady Tigers hold the record for most team titles with 11.

Texas Longhorns womens track and field

The Texas Longhorns women's track and field program is coached by Edrick Floréal. Other notable coaches have included Beverly Kearney, who has guided the Lady Longhorns to six NCAA Championships: Indoor Championships in 1998, 1999, and 2006, and Outdoor Championships in 1998, 1999, and 2005; and Terry Crawford, whose teams won Indoor Championships in 1986, 1988, and 1990, and Outdoor Championships in 1982 and 1986. Crawford's athletes also won the 1986 Women's Cross Country Championship. The program's first title was the 1982 AIAW outdoor track and field championship.

Courtney Okolo American sprinter

Courtney Okolo is an American track and field sprinter who usually competes in the 400 metres. She starred at Carrollton (Texas) Newman Smith High School where she won multiple individual state championships.

The 2020 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships was to be the 56th NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 39th NCAA Women's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the Albuquerque Convention Center. In total, thirty-four different men's and women's indoor track and field events were to be contested from March 13 to March 14, 2020. The event was cancelled by the NCAA on March 12, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic; the attendance before was to be limited only to coaches, participants and personnel.
