The 2020 Spanish Indoor Athletics Championships was the 56th edition of the annual indoor track and field competition organised by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), which serves as the Spanish national indoor championship for the sport. A total of 26 events (divided evenly between the sexes) were contested over two days on 29 February and 1 March at the Pista Cubierta de Expourense in Ourense, Galicia. [1]

1992 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics

The 1992 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics was the fifth edition of the international athletics competition between Ibero-American nations which was held at the Estadio Olímpico de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain from 17–19 July. A total of 41 track and field events were contested and 14 new championship records were set.

The Portuguese Indoor Women's Championship in Athletics is the top division of women's teams in Athletics in Portugal; it is a competition organised by the Federação Portuguesa de Atletismo. José Martínez Morote is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T20 track and field events. He has an intellectual disability, attended school in Cruz de Mayo and serves as a mentor to local track and field athletes. While he originally started sport playing football, he switched to athletics by the age of 16 at the suggestion of a teacher who noticed his speed with the ball. He has gone on to compete at the 2007 World Games, the 2011 IPC World Athletics Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Martínez has held at least two athletics scholarships to continue his participation in the sport.

Dionibel Rodríguez Rodríguez is a track and field athlete from Spain, who competes under the T20 classification due to an intellectual disability. He represents several athletic teams and is supported by the Carmen Pardo Valcarce Foundation. He has competed at the INAS World Games, INAS World Athletics Championships and the INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships.

The 2020 Spanish Athletics Championships was the 100th edition of the national championship in outdoor track and field for Spain. It was held on 12 and 13 September at various locations, due to restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
