Beatriz Elizabeth Pirón Candelario is a Dominican weightlifter. She won the bronze medal in snatch at the 2011 Youth World Championships and gold at the 2011 Youth Pan American Championships. She went to the 2012 Summer Olympics ranking in the 9th place and the 2016 Summer Olympics ranking fourth.
Weightlifting competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto was held from July 11 to 15 at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa. Due to naming rights the arena was as the latter for the duration of the games. A total of fifteen weightlifting events were held: eight for men and seven for women.

Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's fifteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. The Dominican Republic left the Summer Olympics with 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals with moderate success, but not able to secure a single gold medal in any of the events.
