The 2020 Stanford Cardinal men's soccer team represented Stanford University during the 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. They were led by ninth year head coach Jeremy Gunn.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on August 13, 2020, the Pac-12 Conference postponed all fall sports through the end of the calendar year. [1] [2]
On November 4, 2020, the NCAA approved a plan for college soccer to be played in the spring. [3]

The Pac-12 Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that operates in the Western United States. Its twelve members are located in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. They include each state's flagship public university, four additional public universities, and two private research universities. The Pac-12 participates at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level for all sports, and its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the highest level of NCAA football competition.
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) is a college athletic conference with members located mostly in the western United States, although it now has members as far east as Pennsylvania. The conference participates at the NCAA Division I level, primarily in Olympic sports that are not directly sponsored by a school's home conference.
The Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament, otherwise known as the Pac-12 tournament, was the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the Pac-12, taking place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The first tournament was held in 1987 for the Pac-10 conference. It ended after four seasons. The conference did not have a conference tournament until it was started again in 2002.
The 2012 UCLA Bruins men's soccer team played the college's 77th season of organized men's college soccer. 2012 was the team's third full season in the Pac-12 Conference; it had previously played as an independent team. The team won the Pac-12 Conference championship, but fell to the University of San Diego in the NCAA Tournament.
