This was the first edition of the tournament.

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alex de Minaur in the final, 2–4, 4–1, 4–3(7–3), 4–3(7–3) to win the 2018 Next Generation ATP tennis finals. Chung Hyeon was the 2017 champion, but was ineligible to compete this year due to his age.

This was the first edition of the tournament. The tournament was canceled prior to completion due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Diego Schwartzman defeated Francisco Cerúndolo in the final, 6–1, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Argentina Open.

Pablo Carreño Busta defeated Jaume Munar in the final, 6–1, 2–6, 6–4 to win the inaugural Men's Singles tennis title at the 2021 Andalucía Open. Notably, this was the first tournament in ATP history to feature 4 semifinalists from the same nation.

Albert Ramos Viñolas defeated Cameron Norrie in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Estoril Open. It marked his third career ATP Tour singles title, all of which have been on clay. Norrie was aiming to win his first ATP Tour title in his second final.

Rafael Nadal defeated the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final, 7–5, 1–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Italian Open. It was his record-extending 10th Italian Open title and record-equaling 36th Masters 1000 title overall. Nadal saved two match points in his third round match against Denis Shapovalov en route to the title. This was also the fourth time that Nadal had won a tournament on 10 or more occasions, making him the only tennis player with the feat.

The 2021 Generali Open Kitzbühel is a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It is the 77th edition of the Austrian Open Kitzbühel, and part of the World Tour 250 series of the 2021 ATP Tour. It will take place at the Tennis stadium Kitzbühel in Kitzbühel, Austria, from 24 through 31 July 2021.

The 2021 Next Generation ATP Finals was a men's exhibition tennis tournament for the best singles players on the 2021 ATP Tour who were age 21 and under. It ran from 9 to 13 November 2021 in Milan, Italy at the PalaLido and was the fourth edition of the event.

Alexander Zverev defeated Andrey Rublev in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2021 Cincinnati Masters. It was his fifth ATP Tour Masters 1000 title and 17th career singles title on the ATP Tour.

Taylor Fritz defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. It was his maiden Masters 1000 title and second career title overall. Fritz became the first American to win the title since Andre Agassi in 2001, and ended Nadal's 20-match winning streak, dating back to the 2022 Melbourne Open.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Casper Ruud in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. It was his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title, and he became the first Spaniard to win the title. The victory also made Alcaraz, at 18 years and 333 days old, the youngest men's singles titlist in Miami Open history, and the youngest Masters 1000 champion since Rafael Nadal at the 2005 Monte Carlo Masters. Ruud became the first Norwegian to reach a Masters 1000 final, and the first Scandinavian since Robin Söderling at the 2010 Paris Masters.

Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. He became the sixth player to win consecutive titles at the Monte-Carlo Masters in the Open Era. The win also earned him his second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title overall.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Pablo Carreño Busta in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Barcelona Open. Alcaraz saved two match points in his semifinal match against Alex de Minaur. With the win, Alcaraz entered the top 10 in rankings for the first time in his career, becoming the youngest man to do so since Rafael Nadal in 2005.

This was the inaugural edition of the singles competition of the 2022 Forlì Open tennis tournament.
