Marc Gicquel and Michaël Llodra won the title, defeating Brunström and Klaasen 6–3, 3–6, [11–9] in the final.

Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut won the men's doubles tennis title at the 2018 French Open, defeating Oliver Marach and Mate Pavić in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–4). Herbert and Mahut were the third all-French team to reach the French Open men's doubles final in six years.

Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah won their second consecutive Grand Slam men's doubles title, defeating Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2019 US Open. Cabal and Farah retained the ATP no. 1 doubles ranking. Mike Bryan, Łukasz Kubot and Nicolas Mahut were also in contention for the top ranking at the start of the tournament.

Ivan Dodig and Filip Polášek defeated the defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. With the win, Dodig and Polášek claimed their first Grand Slam title as a team. The victory earned Polášek his first major title, and made him the second Slovak to win one after Daniela Hantuchová.
Kevin Krawietz and Horia Tecău defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime and Hubert Hurkacz in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4, to win the doubles tennis title at the 2021 Halle Open. It was their first title as a team.
Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk defeated Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart in the final, 6–2, 7–6(7–1), to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. It was Krawczyk's second consecutive major title in mixed doubles, following her success at the French Open.
Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated defending champion Bruno Soares and his partner, Jamie Murray, in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 6–2, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. This was the second major title for Ram and Salisbury as a team after they first won the 2020 Australian Open together. Ram and Salisbury saved four match points in their quarterfinal match against Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell en route to the title.
Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski defeated Ariel Behar and Gonzalo Escobar in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–4, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Adelaide International 2.
Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios defeated Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in the final, 7–5, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Australian Open. They became the first all-Australian pair to win the title since Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde in 1997, and the first wildcard champions in the Open Era. It marked the first all-Australian final since 1980.
Wildcards Nuno Borges and Francisco Cabral defeated Máximo González and André Göransson in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the doubles tennis title at the 2022 Estoril Open.
