The 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship Division III was scheduled to be an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The tournament would have been held in Kaunas, Lithuania, from 15 to 21 March 2021. [1]
The tournament was cancelled on 18 November 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics. The IIHF was created in 1908 while the European Championships, the precursor to the World Championships, were first held in 1910. The tournament held at the 1920 Summer Olympics is recognized as the first Ice Hockey World Championship. From 1920 to 1968, the Olympic hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year.
The Kuwait national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Kuwait. The team is controlled by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 8 May 2009. As of 28 May 2023, Kuwait is currently ranked 50th in the IIHF World Ranking. Kuwait participated in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, a regional tournament for lower-tier hockey nations in Asia, from 2010 to 2018. Kuwait made its World Championship debut at the 2018 Division III Qualification tournament.

The Norway women's national ice hockey team is the women's national ice hockey team in Norway. The team represents Norway at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF)'sWorld Women's Championships and is controlled by Norges Ishockeyforbund. Women's ice hockey is growing in popularity in Norway and the number of Norwegian women's ice hockey players registered with the IIHF has increased from 482 in 2011 to 702 in 2019.

They are controlled by the Ice Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic and has been an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). As of 2022, Kyrgyzstan is ranked 49th in the IIHF World Ranking.
The Chinese Taipei women's national ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Taiwan internationally in women's competition. The team is overseen by the Chinese Taipei Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team was formed in 2014 and competed in the IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament, which it has won on two occasions, currently competes in IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championships Division 2B.
The Lithuania women's national ice hockey team is the women's national ice hockey team in Lithuania. As of April 2020, they are ranked 40th in the IIHF world rankings. The team is a new addition to Division III, joining for the 2020 Women's World Championship tournament. On 4 December 2019, they won their first game against Hong Kong, China, by a score of 4–2. They subsequently defeated Belgium by a score of 4–3. In their final game of the tournament, they lost to South Africa 4–2.
The 2021 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 23rd such event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Originally scheduled to comprise six tournaments across four divisions, the event was significantly curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 18 November 2020, the IIHF announced the cancellation of the Divisions I, II and III tournaments at the recommendation of the IIHF COVID-19 Expert Group. Only the Top Division tournament was maintained, bringing the number of participating nations from 42 to 10. With only one tournament held, the standard system of promotion and relegation between divisions and groups was not implemented and each team remained in the tournament pool designated for the 2021 event at the 2022 championships.
The 2021 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships was the 84th such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, only teams in the championship division participated in this year's tournament. The competition served as a qualification tournament for the top (only) division placements in the 2022 competition.

The Division II Group A tournament would have been held in Jaca, Spain, from 10 to 16 April 2021 and the Division II Group B tournament in Zagreb, Croatia, from 7 to 13 March 2021.
The 2019 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I was an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place between 14 April and 19 April 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and was the fifth edition held since its formation in 2014 under the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia series of tournaments. The tournament made up the second level of competition sitting below the 2019 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia. The Philippines won the tournament after finishing first in the standings. The United Arab Emirates finished in second place and India finished third.

The team made its international debut in January 2019 and currently play in Division I Group B of the IIHF World Women's U18 Championships.
