The 2021 Sibiu Cycling Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 3 and 6 July 2021 in and around the city of Sibiu, Romania. It was the 11th edition of the Sibiu Cycling Tour and a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour. [1]

Teams

Two UCI WorldTeams, four UCI ProTeams, twenty-one UCI Continental teams, and the Romanian national team made up the twenty-eight teams that participated in the race. Only four of these teams did not enter a full squad of six riders; Amore & Vita, D'Amico–UM Tools, Nippo–Provence–PTS Conti, and Yoeleo Test Team p/b 4Mind each entered a squad of five riders. With one further non-starter, D'Amico–UM Tools was reduced to four riders, meaning 163 riders started the race. Of these riders, 148 finished the race. [2]

The Sibiu Cycling Tour is a 2.1 category professional bicycle road race held in Sibiu, Romania. Its first edition took place in July 2011, as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race is organised with the support of the local council as well as the regional council of Sibiu. Held entirely around the city, the race normally runs over four days including a prologue on the cobbled streets of the city, and two climbing stages, one on the Transfăgărășan road to Bâlea Lake and a second to the mountain resort of Păltiniș.

The 2015 Vuelta a España was a three-week Grand Tour cycling race. The race was the 70th edition of the Vuelta a España and took place principally in Spain, although two stages took place partly or wholly in Andorra, and was the 22nd race in the 2015 UCI World Tour. The 3,358.1-kilometre (2,086.6 mi) race included 21 stages, beginning in Marbella on 22 August 2015 and finishing in Madrid on 13 September. The 2017 Vuelta a España was a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race that took place in Spain between 19 August and 10 September 2017. The race was the 72nd edition of the Vuelta a España and the final Grand Tour of the 2017 cycling season. The race started in Nîmes, France, and finished in Madrid. The 2019 Tour de Pologne was the 76th running of the Tour de Pologne road cycling stage race. It started on 3 August in Kraków and ended on 9 August in Bukowina Tatrzańska, after seven stages. It was the twenty-ninth race of the 2019 UCI World Tour season.

The 2021 season for Bora–Hansgrohe was its 12th season overall and its fifth season as a UCI WorldTeam. It was also the fifth season under the current name.

The 2021 Tour de Hongrie was the 42nd edition of the Tour de Hongrie, which took place between 12 and 16 May 2021. It was the seventh edition since the race's revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Danmark Rundt</span> Cycling race

The 2021 Danmark Rundt was a men's road bicycle race which was held from 10 to 14 August 2021. It was the 30th edition of Danmark Rundt, which was rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries calendars. This edition was the race's first in the UCI ProSeries; the 2020 edition was expected to feature in the inaugural UCI ProSeries but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The race was made up of five stages over five days and concluded with an individual time trial in the traditional finishing town of Frederiksberg.

The 2021 Tour of the Alps was the 44th edition of the Tour of the Alps road cycling stage race and the fifth edition since its renaming from the Giro del Trentino. It was held from 19 to 23 April 2021 in the Austrian state of Tyrol and in the Italian provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol, which all make up the Euroregion of Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino. The 2.Pro-category race was initially scheduled to be a part of the inaugural edition of the UCI ProSeries, but after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it made its UCI ProSeries debut in 2021, while also still being a part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2019 Tour of Austria was the 71st edition of the Tour of Austria cycling stage race. It began with a prologue in Wels and finished atop the Kitzbüheler Horn after six road stages, covering 876.5 kilometres (544.6 mi). The race was ranked 2.1 in the 2019 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2021 Deutschland Tour was a men's road cycling stage race which took place from 26 to 29 August 2021. It was the 35th edition of the Deutschland Tour, which is rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries calendars. This edition was the race's first in the UCI ProSeries; the 2020 edition was expected to feature in the inaugural UCI ProSeries but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 Okolo Slovenska was the 65th edition of the Okolo Slovenska road cycling stage race. It was held from 15 and 19 September 2021, as a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2022 Tour de Hongrie was the 43rd edition of the Tour de Hongrie, which took place between 11 and 15 May 2022. It was the eighth edition since the race's revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2022 UCI Europe Tour.
