The 2020 Sibiu Cycling Tour was a men's road bicycle race which took place from 23 to 26 July 2020 in and around the city of Sibiu, Romania. The race was a 2.1-rated event as part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour and is made up of five stages. This race was the 10th edition of the Sibiu Cycling Tour. [1]

Contents

Teams

Twenty-two teams participated in the race, including two UCI WorldTeams, three UCI ProTeams, sixteen UCI Continental teams, and one national team. Each team entered six riders, with the exception of Bardiani–CSF–Faizanè, Cycling Team Friuli ASD, and Team Novak, which each submitted five riders. 129 riders started the race, of which 104 finished. [2]

VF Group–Bardiani–CSF–Faizanè is a UCI ProTeam cycling team registered in Italy that participates in UCI Continental Circuits races and when selected as a wildcard to UCI World Tour events. The 2019 Tour of Slovenia was the 26th edition of the Tour of Slovenia cycling stage race, held between 19 and 23 June 2019.It was organised as a 2.HC race on the UCI Europe Tour, consisted of 5 stages in total.

The 2019 Adriatica Ionica Race was a five-stage men's professional road cycling race.

The 2020 Tirreno–Adriatico was a road cycling stage race that was originally scheduled to take place between 11 and 17 March 2020 in Italy. On 6 March 2020, it was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns in Italy and rescheduled to 7 to 14 September. It was the 55th edition of Tirreno–Adriatico and part of the 2020 UCI World Tour.

The 2020 Vuelta a San Juan was a road cycling stage race that took place in the San Juan Province of Argentina between 26 January and 2 February 2020. The 2020 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana(English: Tour of the Valencian Community) was held from 5 to 9 February 2020 and was the 71st edition of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. It was a 2.Pro event on the 2020 UCI Europe Tour, as well as part of the inaugural UCI ProSeries. The race was run entirely in the autonomous community of Valencia with five stages covering 800.2 kilometers, starting in Castelló de la Plana and finishing in Valencia.

The 2021 Tour of the Alps was the 44th edition of the Tour of the Alps road cycling stage race and the fifth edition since its renaming from the Giro del Trentino. It was held from 19 to 23 April 2021 in the Austrian state of Tyrol and in the Italian provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol, which all make up the Euroregion of Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino. The 2.Pro-category race was initially scheduled to be a part of the inaugural edition of the UCI ProSeries, but after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it made its UCI ProSeries debut in 2021, while also still being a part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2021 Adriatica Ionica Race/Sulle Rotte della Serenissima was a road cycling stage race that took place between 15 and 17 June 2021 in the northeastern Italy. It was the third edition of the Adriatica Ionica Race and a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2021 Sibiu Cycling Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 3 and 6 July 2021 in and around the city of Sibiu, Romania. It was the 11th edition of the Sibiu Cycling Tour and a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2021 Okolo Slovenska was the 65th edition of the Okolo Slovenska road cycling stage race. It was held from 15 and 19 September 2021, as a category 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour.

The 2022 Adriatica Ionica Race/Sulle Rotte della Serenissima was a road cycling stage race that took place between 4 and 8 June 2022 in the northeastern Italy. It was the fourth edition of the Adriatica Ionica Race and a category 2.1 event on the 2022 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Filippo Zana who didn't win a stage but finished second in two decisive stages.

The 2023 Okolo Slovenska is the 67th edition of the Okolo Slovenska road cycling stage race. It is being held between 13 and 17 September 2022, as a category 2.1 event on the 2023 UCI Europe Tour.
