The 2022 Asian Netball Championships were held in Singapore between 3 September and 11 September 2022, with eleven teams taking part. [1] [2] The championships also served as qualifiers for the 2023 Netball World Cup. [1] [2]

Contents

The tournament had two group stages, with results from the first stage determining groups for the second. After the second round, teams were paired off within their group. For teams in the middle and lower groups of the second round, these play-offs determined final ranking. The two play-offs in the upper group were the tournament's semifinals, with the winners playing each other for the championship and the losers playing for third place.

    The 2023 Netball World Cup was the sixteenth staging of the Netball World Cup, the premier competition in international netball, contested every four years. The tournament was held from 28 July to 6 August at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, its first time in Africa.

    The 2022 Asia Cup Qualification was a men's cricket tournament which took place in Oman in August 2022 to determine qualification for the 2022 Asia Cup. The 2020 editions of the ACC Western and Eastern regional T20 tournaments were held in February and March of the same year by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Thirteen teams competed, with the aim of progressing to the qualifier. These were scheduled to be followed by the Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in Malaysia, which was due to be played in August 2020. However, in July 2020 the Asia Cup was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the postponement of the qualifier. In May 2021, the Asian Cricket Council confirmed that there would be no Asia Cup in 2021, with that edition of the tournament deferred until 2023. It was later announced that there would be a T20I Asia Cup in 2022, to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

    Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, often called as MSC, is an annual esports tournament for the mobile MOBA game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in Southeast Asia. The tournament consists of different teams from different countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore, Vietnam, and Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.

    Twelve teams are scheduled to compete in the women's football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In addition to France, the host nation, 11 women's national teams will qualify from six separate continental confederations.
