The 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer season was the 34th season of women's varsity soccer in the conference.

Contents

Virginia were the defending regular season champions. Florida State were the defending ACC tournament champions. [2] The Seminoles are also the defending national champions. [3]

North Carolina and Florida State were co-regular season champions with 8–2–0 records. Florida State won the ACC tournament over North Carolina, by a score of 2–1 in the final.

The ACC had ten teams selected to the NCAA tournament, which was the most of any conference. The conference finished with a 20–9–1 overall record in the tournament, with Florida State and North Carolina making it to the semifinals. North Carolina prevailed in the semifinals, but lost to UCLA in the final.

2023 NWSL Draft

The ACC had twelve players selected in the 2023 NWSL Draft. Seven of the twelve players were selected in the first round, which was more than half of all first round picks. Those seven and the twelve overall were the highest by any conference. This was the third straight year where an ACC player was selected as one of the top-five picks. [21]

This was the 29th season of the university fielding a women's soccer program. The Seminoles were led by second-year head coach Brian Pensky, and played their home games at Seminole Soccer Complex.

The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer tournament was the post season women's soccer tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held from October 29 through November 5, 2023. The five-match tournament took place at campus sites for the quarterfinals and Sahlen's Stadium in Cary, North Carolina for the semifinals and final. The higher seed hosted the campus site matches. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Florida State Seminoles were the three-time defending champions. Florida State successfully defended its title after defeating the Clemson Tigers 2–1 in the final. This was Florida State's tenth overall title, and fourth title in a row. It was head coach Brian Pensky's second consecutive title. As tournament champions, Florida State earned the ACC's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

The 2024 Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer season will be the 36th season of women's varsity soccer in the conference. This will be the first season where seventeen teams compete in the conference, after the additions of California, SMU, and Standford on July 1, 2024.

The 2024 Florida State Seminoles women's soccer team represents Florida State University during the 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. This is the 30th season of the university fielding a women's soccer program, during all of which they have been members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Seminoles are led by third-year head coach Brian Pensky, and play their home games at Seminole Soccer Complex. The Seminoles entered the season as defending ACC Regular Season, ACC Tournament, and NCAA Tournament champions.
