The 2022 Copa Bicentenario was a planned tournament with the participation of the 19 teams of the Liga 1, and 14 teams of the Liga 2. The champions would have been entitled to qualify for the 2023 Copa Sudamericana, as well as the Supercopa Peruana against the Liga 1 champions. Sporting Cristal were the defending champions. [1]

The competition was planned to be played starting from July 2022 along with the Clausura tournaments of Liga 1 and Liga 2, [2] but was ultimately cancelled by the Peruvian Football Federation due to scheduling constraints. [3] On 23 August 2022, the FPF officially confirmed the cancellation of the 2022 Copa Bicentenario amid the announcement of planned reforms in Peruvian football. [4]

The Supercopa Peruana, (Peruvian Supercop is a football competition organized by the Peruvian Football Federation since 2020. It is played in a single match, on a neutral field, which, if necessary, breaks the tie with shots from the penalty spot. It is played between the champions of the Copa Bicentenario and Peruvian Primera División. In the event that the same team wins both the cup and the championship, its rival will be the runner-up of the latter.

Carlos Jhilmar Lora Saavedra, better known as Jhilmar Lora, is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Peruvian Primera División club Sporting Cristal and the Peru national team.

A total of 19 teams competed in the season, which began on 4 February and ended on 12 November 2022. The season was originally scheduled to start on 21 January 2022, but the date was pushed back due to the detection of several COVID-19 cases in the participating clubs.

The 2022 Supercopa Peruana was a planned football super cup contested by the winners of the previous season's Liga 1 and Copa Bicentenario competitions.

The 2024 Liga 1 de Fútbol Profesional is the 108th season of the Peruvian Primera División, the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 18 teams compete in the season, which began on 26 January and is scheduled to end in November 2024. The fixture for the season was drawn on 8 January 2024.
