The 2022 Iowa Western Reivers football team was an American football team that represented Iowa Western Community College as a member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) during the 2022 junior college football season. In their 13th year under head caoch Scott Strohmeier, the Reivers compiled a 10–2 record, defeated Hutchinson in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championship game, and won the NJCAA National Football Championship. It was Iowa Western's first of two consecutive national championships. [1] [2]

The team's statistical leaders included Aiden Nidens with 1,073 passing yards, Bryant Williams with 749 rushing yards, LJ Fitzpatrick with 540 receiving yards, and Sam Wilber with 72 points scored (36 extra points, 12 field goals). [3]

Kevin Boyle is the vice president of commercial insurance for Lincoln Savings Bank in Reinbeck, Iowa. Before joining Lincoln Savings in 1998, Boyle was on the Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team from 1978 to 1982. With Iowa, Boyle and his team reached the third place game of the 1980 NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament. Between 1980 and 1982, he was a two time steals season record and a one time assists season record holder for Iowa. After becoming their Most Valuable Player in 1982, Boyle left the Hawkeyes that year with 1,189 career points.

The 1981 Northern Michigan Wildcats football team represented Northern Michigan University as an independent during the 1981 NCAA Division II football season. In their fourth year under head coach Bill Rademacher, the Wildcats compiled a record of 11–1. The team was undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the final NCAA Division II Football Committee poll at the end of the regular season. Northern Michigan advanced to the NCAA Division II Football Championship playoffs, where the Wildcats defeated Elizabeth City State in the quarterfinals before and losing to Southwest Texas State in the semifinals. The Wildcats outscored opponents by a total of 403 to 196 on the season.

The 2023 Iowa Western Reivers football team was an American football team that represented Iowa Western Community College as a member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) during the 2023 junior college football season. Led by 14th-year head caoch Scott Strohmeier, the Reivers compiled a 12–1 record, defeated East Mississippi in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championship game, and won the NJCAA National Football Championship. It was Iowa Western's second consecutive national championship.
