The 2022 Korean Tour was the 45th season on the Korean Tour, the main professional golf tour in South Korea since it was formed in 1978.

European Tour partnership

In December, it was announced by the European Tour that the KPGA had extended their partnership with them and the PGA Tour. [1] As part of the expansion, the leading player on the Korean Tour Order of Merit was given status onto the European Tour for the following season. [2]

Order of Merit

The Order of Merit was titled as the Genesis Points and was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. [4] The leading player on the Order of Merit earned status to play on the 2023 European Tour (DP World Tour). [5]

The CJ Cup was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. The tournament was played for the first time in October 2017 at the start of the 2017–18 season, and was sponsored by CJ Group. The first three editions were played at the Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island, South Korea. In 2020, the tournament was moved to Shadow Creek Golf Course in North Las Vegas, Nevada as part of a Las Vegas Swing in October due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. In 2021, plans to return to South Korea were abandoned with the tournament remaining in the Las Vegas area, but moving to The Summit Club in Summerlin. For 2022, the event was held at Congaree Golf Club in Gillisonville, South Carolina, near Hilton Head Island.

The 2018 Asian Tour was the 24th season of the modern Asian Tour, the main professional golf tour in Asia since it was established in 1995.

Kim Joo-hyung, commonly known as Tom Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer. He has won three times on the PGA Tour, and twice on both the Asian Tour and the Korean Tour.
