The 2022 Asian Tour was the 27th season of the modern Asian Tour (formerly the Asian PGA Tour), the main professional golf tour in Asia (outside of Japan) since it was established in 1995.

LIV Golf alliance

With LIV Golf's initial investment in the Asian Tour having been reported in late 2021. [1] The 2022 season marked the introduction of the International Series, which was unveiled in February. The series was to consist of 10 events to be added to Asian Tour schedules over the following 10 years, with each event featuring prize funds between US$ 1,500,000 and $2,000,000. The investment being primarily backed by LIV Golf. [2]

International Series Order of Merit

The International Series Order of Merit was based on prize money won during the International Series, calculated in U.S. dollars. [9] The leading player on the International Series Order of Merit earned status to play in the 2023 LIV Golf League. [10]

The International Series England was removed from the schedule in March 2022 following the announcement of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, which included an event with the same venue (Centurion Club) and dates. [5] It was later readded to the schedule and held a week earlier than originally planned at a new venue, Slaley Hall in Northumberland. [6]

Travis Smyth is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour. He won the 2017 Northern Territory PGA Championship and the 2022 Yeangder TPC, as well as recording a runner-up finish at the 2022 International Series England. He played in the first three LIV Golf events in 2022, having gained access through the Asian Tour qualification process.

The LIV Golf Invitational Boston was a golf tournament held in Bolton, Massachusetts, outside of Boston at The Oaks Golf Course at The International. The tournament was held in September 2022 as part of the LIV Golf Invitational Series, a golf series led by Greg Norman and funded by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. The 2023 Asian Tour was the 28th season of the modern Asian Tour, the main professional golf tour in Asia since it was established in 1995.

The ASEAN PGA Tour was a men's developmental professional golf tour. It was formed in 2007 and was created to give more competitive opportunities to young and upcoming professionals in the Southeast Asia region.

The 2024 LIV Golf League is the third season of LIV Golf. The season consists of 54-hole tournaments, featuring 54 players and no cut, with a team championship event at the season end.
