The 2022 Spikers' Turf season is the fifth season [1] of the men's volleyball league Spikers' Turf, the counterpart of the women's Shakey's V-League. In 2014, the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its 21st conference. [2] The following year, Sports Vision, the organizers of the Shakey's V-League decided to spin-off the men's vision as a separate tournament, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf.
No tournament was held in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 Spikers' Turf Open Conference was the fifteenth conference of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament were held at Paco Arena, Manila from 30 August to 6 October 2022 with a total of seven teams. [3] [4]
The Spikers' Turf returned after a three-year absence, with its last tournament played being the 2019 Open Conference. [5]
NU-Sta. Elena Nationals defeated the reigning champions Cignal HD Spikers in the championship match best-of-three series to clinched their first ever gold of the tournament. Cignal HD Spikers gets their fourth silver. [6] PGJC-Navy Sea Lions defeated VNS-One Alicia Griffins in the third place match best-of-three series and claimed their first bronze. [7]

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams.
The Philippine Super Liga was a non-professional corporate club women's volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and later owned by Athletic Events & Sports Management Group (ACES), Inc. The league was envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career.

Marck Jesus Paguirigan Espejo is a Filipino volleyball athlete currently playing for FC Tokyo, his second stint in V.League. He is a member of the Philippines men's national volleyball team and played collegiate volleyball with Ateneo de Manila University.
