This was the second edition of the tournament. There was no defending champion as the tournament was canceled at the quarterfinals stage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was the second of two editions of the tournament in the 2021 tennis season. Marc-Andrea Hüsler and Zdeněk Kolář were the defending champions but only Kolář chose to defend his title, partnering Julien Cagnina. Kolář lost in the final to Raven Klaasen and Ruan Roelofse.

It took place in Traralgon, Australia between 3 and 9 January 2022.

Marc Polmans was the defending champion but chose not to participate.

Liam Broady was the defending champion but chose not to defend his title.

Ruben Bemelmans and Daniel Masur were the defending champions but lost in the first round to Marc-Andrea Hüsler and Dominic Stricker.

Nikola Milojević was the defending champion but lost in the first round to Eduard Esteve Lobato.

Blaž Kavčič and Blaž Rola were the defending champions but chose not to defend their title.

This was the final appearance for Philipp Kohlschreiber before his retirement.

Daniel Altmaier was the defending champion but chose not to defend his title.

Tomislav Brkić and Francisco Cabral defeated Robin Haase and Philipp Oswald in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the doubles tennis title at the 2022 Swiss Open Gstaad.
