The 2022 Women's Rugby League European Championship B was an international women's rugby league tournament that took place between June and October 2022. [1] It was divided into two groups, with Ireland, Italy and Wales playing in the north, and Greece, Serbia and Turkey contesting the south. [1]
Greece won the southern section winning both their games in the teams first tournament. [2] Wales won the northern section, again winning both their matches. [3]

The Ireland men's national rugby league team, known as the Wolfhounds, is organised by Rugby League Ireland and represents the entire isle of Ireland in international rugby league. The representative team is composed largely of players of Irish descent who compete in the Super League as well as the Australasian National Rugby League. Ireland is also represented by an Ireland A side, which is made up of players from the Irish domestic competition.

The process commenced in June 2018, with the commencement of the 2018–19 Rugby League European Championship C tournament, which acted as the first round for European qualification.
The 2018–19 Rugby League European Championship C was the tenth edition of the Rugby League European Championship C and acted as the initial phase of European qualifying to the 2021 Men's Rugby League World Cup. The series involves two pools of three teams in a round-robin tournament. These matches took place between 16 June and 15 September 2018, with the final match taking place on 18 May 2019, where Greece defeat Norway to progress to the next round of European repechage qualifying against Scotland and Serbia.
The 2019 Rugby League European play-off tournament was the final phase of European qualifying to the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, played in October and November 2019. It featured six nations, five of whom have come through the previous phases of European qualifying - 2018 European Championship, 2018 European Championship B and 2018–19 European Championship C. The competition was played in two groups of three with the winners and runners up in each group qualifying for the World Cup.

Six teams were to have competed in the 2020 edition, with Italy and Spain joining the four teams that participated in 2018. The teams were split into two pools of three, where the winners would have contested a final and the bottom teams would have been relegated to the 2022 European Championship B. The tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2023 Rugby League European Championships will be the 34th edition of the first division, Euro A, and 11th edition of the second division, Euro B, as well as the inaugural edition of the promotion and relegation era of the tournament after the cancellation of the planned first edition in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is currently postponed due to France withdrawing as hosts of the 2025 Rugby League World Cup.
