The Nederlandse Rugby league Bond Championship, also known as NRLB Championship, is a Semi-Professional competition and the top-tier of branded Rugby League of the Netherlands. It currently consists of five teams. It was formed in 2015. The league consists of Netherlands Internationals, along with foreign players of various nations, including; England, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Luxembourg and Germany.

The NRLB Championship Grand Final has been the championship-deciding game since 2015. The finals are traditionally held by the current trophy holders. Prior to the 2019 season, the Grand Final trophy was renames, Jason Bruygoms Beker, as a thank you to Jason Bruygoms, who resurrected Dutch rugby league in 2015 after the sport was absent in the country for nearly a decade.

The 2015 competition was fought out between Amsterdam Cobras, Den Haag Knights, Rotterdam Pitbulls and North Brussels Gorillas (Belgium). The North Brussels Gorillas won the inaugural competition after defeating Den Haag Knights 48-06 in the Grand Final.

In 2016, the North Brussels Gorillas competing in the Belgium League, to help with the development of their countries Rugby League purpose.
On 26 May 2016, Harderwijk Dolphins were registered as an official Rugby League Club and would participate in the Netherlands Rugby League competition in 2017. [1]

The 2016 Netherland Rugby League Final will take place at Dordrecht Rugby Club on 18 June 2016. The Final will be contested between Rotterdam Pitbulls and Den Haag Knights, both teams qualified by finishing in the Top 2 after all league matches were completed.

The Hague is a city and municipality of the Netherlands, situated on the west coast facing the North Sea. The Hague is the capital of the province of South Holland. The Hague is the country's administrative centre and its seat of government, and while the official capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam, The Hague has been described as the country's de facto capital.
The Netherlands national rugby league team is the national rugby league team of The Netherlands. It was formed in January 2003. The national team played its first international match in 2003 against Scotland A, where they lost 22–18.

They finished third in the 2017 and 2019 Rotterdam Nines. In 2018 the Cobras won their first Championship after defeating the Den Haag Knights RLFC 29-28 in extra time.
The 2017 NRLB Championship, is the second semi-professional season of Dutch Rugby League Competition. Four teams compete over 6 rounds, after which the two highest enter the Grand Final. The two lowest teams then enter the third-place play-off.
The Belgium vs Netherlands Cups were a series of international football friendly cup matches contested by the national teams of Belgium and the Netherlands. From their first unofficial friendly derbies in the early 1900s, until the mid-1920s, Belgium and the Netherlands competed for floating trophies. During the encounters in Belgium the teams played for the Coupe Vanden Abeele until 1925, while in the Netherlands they faced off for the Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad Beker until 1923. In total, there has been 39 Belgian-Dutch friendly cup duels, of which 35 were official internationals.
