The 2023 AFC U-20 Championship will be the 42nd edition of the AFC U-20 Championship (including previous editions of the AFC Youth Championship and AFC U-19 Championship), the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-20 national teams of Asia. This edition will be the first to be played as an under-20 tournament, as the AFC have proposed switching the tournament from under-19 to under-20 starting from 2023. [1]

A total of 16 teams will play in the tournament. The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup as the AFC representatives.

Qualification matches are scheduled to be played between 10–18 September 2022. [2]

The AFC U-16 Championship is a football competition, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held once every two years for Asian under-16 teams that also serves as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The top 4 countries qualify to participate in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Until 2006 it was held as an under-17 tournament. The AFC have proposed switching back to an under-17 tournament starting from 2023.

The AFC U-17 Women's Championship, founded as the AFC U-16 Women's Championship, later changed to its current name after the 2019 edition, is a biennial women's football tournament for youth teams organised by the Asian Football Confederation. It further serves as the qualifying competition for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. The AFC have agreed to the proposal for switching the tournament from under-16 to under-17 starting from 2022.

AFF U-19 Youth Championship Kejohanan B-19 Tahun AFF Piala Asean

The AFF U-19 Youth Championship is an annual international football competition contested by the national teams of the members of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and occasionally invited nations from the rest of Asia. The tournament was previously played at under-20 level, however, the AFF followed the lead of the Asian Football Confederation after they renamed its U-20 competition to fall in line with FIFA's naming conventions and also to reflect the age of the players at the competition. The 2022 AFC U-23 Championship will be the 5th edition of the AFC U-23 Championship, the biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. The tournament will be held between 1–19 June 2022. A total of 16 teams will compete in the tournament. South Korea are the defending champions.
