The 2023 Merrimack Warriors men's volleyball team, the first ever Merrimack men's volleyball team, [1] represents Merrimack College in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Warriors, led by first year head coach Ray Lewis, [2] play their home games at Hammel Court. The Warriors play in the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. The Northeast Conference (NEC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose schools are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Teams in the NEC compete in Division I for all sports; football competes in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Participating schools are located principally in the Northeastern United States, from which the conference derives its name.
The Northeast Conference soccer tournament is the conference soccer championship of the NCAA Division I Northeast Conference. In the current format, all eligible teams compete to the single-elimination tournament, with all games being played at the home field of the higher seed. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The NEC started fielding men's soccer games in 1985 and started a conference tournament in 1989, Fairleigh Dickinson won the inaugural championship.
The 2019 Northeast Conference men's soccer season was the 39th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference.
The 2022 LIU Sharks men's volleyball team, the first ever LIU men's volleyball team, represented Long Island University Brooklyn in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Sharks, led by first year head coach Shawn Patchell, played their home games at Steinberg Wellness Center. The Sharks competed as an Independent. However the Sharks will join the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference in 2023. After a slow start LIU won 9 of their final 10 games to finish a respectable 13–15.
The 2022 Independent Volleyball Association Tournament was a men's volleyball tournament held by select Independent Universities during the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. It was held April 22 through April 23, 2022 at Queens University of Charlotte's Curry Arena at the Levine Center. The winner was eligible for one of the two wildcard spots in the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Tournament and was granted the title of Independent Volleyball Association Champion.
The 2022–23 Northeast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2023, followed by the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in the last week of December and ended in March 2023.
The 2022–23 Stonehill Skyhawks men's basketball team represented Stonehill College in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Skyhawks, led by tenth-year head coach Chris Kraus, played their home games at Merkert Gymnasium in Easton, Massachusetts, as first-year members of the Northeast Conference.

The Sharks, led by first year head coach Kai Dugquem, play their home games at Steinberg Wellness Center. The Sharks compete as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. After winning most of their games at the end of last season, the Sharks were picked to finish third in the NEC.

The Wildcats, led by fourth year head coach Don Gleason, play their home games at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium. The Wildcats compete as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference and were picked to finish fourth in the NEC.
The 2023 D'Youville Saints men's volleyball team represents D'Youville University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The 2023 Fairleigh Dickinson Knights men's volleyball team, the second Fairleigh Dickinson men's volleyball team, represents Fairleigh Dickinson University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Knights, led by second year head coach Karl France, play their home games at Rothman Center. The Knights compete as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. The Knights were picked to finish sixth in the NEC pre-season poll.

The 2023 Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors volleyball team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH) in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Rainbow Warriors, led by 14th-year head coach Charlie Wade, play home games at Stan Sheriff Center on the UH campus in the Honolulu neighborhood of Mānoa. The Rainbow Warriors, members of the Big West Conference, were picked by Big West coaches to win the conference in its preseason poll with Long Beach State. The Rainbow Warriors enter the season as the two-time defending national champions after defeating Long Beach State in the 2022 national championship game. The national championship was Hawai'i's second men's volleyball national championship after they had to vacate the 2002 national championship.
The 2023 Penn State Nittany Lions men's volleyball team represents Pennsylvania State University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Nittany Lions, led by 29th year head coach Mark Pavlik, play their home games at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions are members of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and were picked to win the EIVA in the preseason poll.
The 2023 Harvard Crimson men's volleyball team represents Harvard University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The 2023 Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Northeast Conference for the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The tournament took place on three dates between March 1, and March 7, 2023, and all tournament games were played on home arenas of the higher-seeded school. The winner, Merrimack, did not receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament due to not being eligible because of a transition from Division II. Instead, the runner-up, Farleigh Dickinson, earned lucky loser status and was awarded the conference's automatic bid.
