The 2023 Toyota U.S. Open Swimming Championships took place from November 29 to December 2, 2023, at Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. [1] Competition was conducted in a long course (50-meter) pool. Swimmers were allowed to compete representing their country, such as Hong Kong, national swimming federation, such as Swimming Canada, club, such as Nation's Capital Swim Club, or unattached. [2]

The World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships is an international swimming championship event organized biennially by World Aquatics for swimmers aged 14–18 years as of the 31st December of the year of the competition. It is usually held on odd years. Prior to 2023, the event was known as the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships and was open to female swimmers aged 14–17 and male swimmers aged 15–18 as of the 31st of December of the year of the competition.
The U.S. Open Swimming Championships, or U.S. Open, is a championship meet organized by USA Swimming which is open to international teams/swimmers. It was first held in 1985, and was held annually in December through 2006. Beginning in 2007, the meet's first-weekend-of-December timing was given over to the resurrected USA Short Course Nationals, and the U.S. Open moved to being held on an as-needed basis. Since 2007, the meet has been held in early August, in years where the U.S. Nationals are not held in August.
Regan Smith is an American competitive swimmer. As of 2022, Smith trains under Bob Bowman with the Arizona State University professional training group. She is the world junior record holder in the women's long course 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter backstroke and a former world record holder in the long course 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter backstroke. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in three events representing the United States, winning a bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke, a silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly, and a silver medal in the 4×100-meter medley relay. At the World Aquatics Championships, she won individual gold medals in the 200-meter backstroke in 2019 and the 100-meter backstroke in 2022 and a relay gold medal swimming the backstroke leg of the 4x100 medley relay in 2023.
Beatriz Pimentel Dizotti is a Brazilian swimmer. She represented Brazil at the 2020 Summer Olympics and finished 6th in the 1500m freestyle at the 2022 World Championships.
Lillie Nordmann is an American competitive swimmer specializing in butterfly and freestyle events. She competed at the 2019 World Junior Swimming Championships, winning gold medals in the 200 meter butterfly, 4×200 meter freestyle relay, and 4×100 meter medley relay. She competes collegiately for Stanford University.
