The 2023 United States Women's Curling Championship was held from February 6 to 11 at the Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado. [1] The event was held in conjunction with the 2023 United States Men's Curling Championship. This was the first Women's Championship in two years, after the 2022 Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

The 2021 World Men's Curling Championship was held from April 2 to 11 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada. The event was originally to be held in Ottawa, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championship was moved to Calgary. The event was held in a bio-secure bubble at Canada Olympic Park, which also hosted all major Curling Canada championships leading up to the Worlds. All events were held behind closed doors with no spectators.

The 2021 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from May 17 to 23 in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The 2021 United States Olympic Curling Trials was held from November 12 to 21, 2021 at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The trials featured six men's teams and six women's teams who played in a double round robin tournament. After the round robin, the top two teams on each side played a best-of-three playoff to determine the winner. The winner of both the men's and women's events will represent the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

The 2023 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship for Southern Ontario, was held from January 23 to 29 at The Plex in Port Elgin, Ontario. The winning Rachel Homan rink represented Ontario at the 2023 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship in Kamloops, British Columbia where they made the Championship round losing to Nova Scotia 7–6 in an extra end.

The 2023 Canadian U18 Curling Championships were held from February 5 to 11 at the McIntyre Arena and the McIntyre Curling Club in Timmins, Ontario. Timmins was originally scheduled to host the 2021 edition of the event, however, it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario. It was also set to host the 2022 event before it was postponed and later moved to Oakville, Ontario.

The 2023 United States Men's Curling Championship was held from February 5 to 11, 2023 at the Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado. The event was held in conjunction with the 2023 United States Women's Curling Championship. This was the first Men's Championship in two years, after the 2022 Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2023 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship was held from March 20 to 24 at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This was the first time the championship was held since 2019 as it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
