Bertens became the first Dutchwoman to win the title.

Simona Halep defeated Beatriz Haddad Maia in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Canadian Open. Halep's third Canadian Open title marked the first time in her career she won an event on three occasions and also earned her a ninth WTA 1000 title. Haddad Maia was the first Brazilian to reach beyond the quarterfinals and contest the final at a WTA 1000 tournament.

Ekaterina Alexandrova defeated Jeļena Ostapenko in the final, 7–6^(7–4), 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Korea Open.

Petra Kvitová defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–6^(16–14), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Miami Open. It was Kvitová's first WTA 1000 title since the 2018 Madrid Open, and her 30th career title overall; she also became the first Czech player to win the title. Rybakina was attempting to complete the Sunshine Double, having already won the title at Indian Wells.

This was the first edition of the tournament as a part of the 2023 WTA 125 tournaments.

Defending champion Tatjana Maria defeated Peyton Stearns in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Copa Colsanitas. Maria became the first player since Fabiola Zuluaga in 2004 to successfully defend the singles title at Bogota. Stearns was contesting her first WTA Tour final.

Madison Brengle and Claire Liu were the reigning champions, but chose not to participate.

Sara Errani was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Astra Sharma won the title, defeating Sara Errani in the final, 0–6, 7–5, 6–2.

Alycia Parks won the title, defeating Bernarda Pera in the final, 6–3, 6–1. She saved two match points en route to the title, in her qualifying match against Anna Sisková.

Kamilla Rakhimova won the singles title at the 2024 Guadalajara 125 Open, defeating Tatjana Maria in the final, 6–3, 6–7^(5–7), 6–3.
