A grass court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Grass courts are made of grasses in different compositions depending on the tournament.
The Eastbourne International is a tennis tournament on the WTA Tour and the ATP Tour held at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, Eastbourne, United Kingdom. Held since 1974, it is classified as a WTA 500 series on the WTA Tour and an ATP Tour 250 series on the ATP Tour. The tournament is played on outdoor grass courts, and is generally considered a "warm-up" for the Wimbledon Championships, a major tournament, which begins the following week. It was originally just part of the WTA Tour, but from 2009 it was combined as an ATP Tour event. It replaced the Nottingham Open grass court tournament from 2009–2014. Nottingham returned for 2015–2016 with no men's event in Eastbourne, however Eastbourne replaced the Nottingham event again from 2017 onwards. As of 2022, it is sponsored by Rothesay, with past sponsors including Viking Cruises, Nature Valley and AEGON.
The Rosmalen Grass Court Championships, branded by its sponsored name as the Libéma Open since 2018,, is a professional tennis tournament held in the town of Rosmalen, on the outskirts of the city of 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. The men's and women's tennis matches are played on grass courts at the Autotron convention center. It is classified as an ATP 250 event on the men's ATP Tour and a WTA 250 event on the women's WTA Tour.
The WTA Auckland Open is a professional women's tennis tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. The tournament is played annually, in the first week of January, at the ASB Tennis Centre in the suburb of Parnell, just east of the Central Business District. The tournament is held annually in January a week before the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, the Australian Open.
The Makarska International Championships is a WTA 125-level women's tennis tournament. It takes place on outdoor clay courts, during the second week of French Open at the Tennis Center in the city of Makarska, Croatia. The tournament was held in 1998 as WTA Tier IV level event. In 2022, the tournament made a comeback as a WTA 125 level event as a replacement for the Bol Open.
