Weronika Falkowska (born 17 June 2000) is a Polish tennis player. She has a career-high WTA rankings of 240 in singles, reached in January 2023, and 83 in doubles, achieved on 28 August 2023.

Career

Falkowska made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2021 Poland Open, having received entry as a lucky loser. [2] She was drawn against Katerina Bondarenko who had beaten her in the final qualifying round, [3] with Falkowska prevailing in less than an hour and losing only two games. [4]

Partnering Cristina Bucșa, she won the doubles title at the 2022 WTA 125 Andorrà Open, defeating Angelina Gabueva and Anastasia Zakharova in the final. [5]

Alongside Katarzyna Kawa, Falkowska took the doubles title at the 2023 WTA 125 Copa Oster, overcoming Kyōka Okamura and You Xiaodi in the final which went to a deciding champions tiebreak. [6]

Playing with Katarzyna Piter, she reached her first WTA 250 final at the 2023 WTA Poland Open, losing to Heather Watson and Yanina Wickmayer. [7] The pair were also runners-up at the 2023 WTA 125 Veneto Open, being defeated in the final by Han Na-lae and Jang Su-jeong. [8]

Partnering Martyna Kubka, Falkowska won the doubles title at the 2024 WTA 125 Poland Open, defeating Céline Naef and Nina Stojanović in the final. [9]

The 2021 WTA Poland Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the first edition of the WTA Poland Open, and part of the WTA 250 series of the 2021 WTA Tour. It was held at the Arka Tennis Club in Gdynia, Poland, from 19 July until 25 July 2021. Unseeded Maryna Zanevska won the singles title.

Maryna Zanevska won her maiden WTA Tour singles title, defeating Kristína Kučová in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–4).

Martyna Kubka is a Polish tennis player. She has a career-high WTA ranking of 305 in singles, achieved on 22 July 2024, and a career-high WTA ranking of 130 in doubles, achieved on 2 December 2024.

Anna Sisková is a Czech tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of No. 236 in singles and No. 64 in doubles. She has won two doubles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour as well as four singles and 23 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.

This was the first WTA 125 tournament in Cali since 2013. Catalina Castaño and Mariana Duque were the champions when the event was last held, but they have both since retired from professional tennis.

Erika Andreeva and Céline Naef claimed the doubles title at the 2023 Andorrà Open, defeating Tímea Babos and Heather Watson in the final, 6–2, 6–1.

Katarzyna Kawa and Elixane Lechemia were the defending champions but chose not to participate.

Weronika Falkowska and Katarzyna Kawa were the reigning champions, but Falkowska chose not to participate and Kawa chose to compete in Midland instead.
