The Makarska International Championships is a WTA 125-level women's tennis tournament. It takes place on outdoor clay courts, during the second week of French Open at the Tennis Center in the city of Makarska, Croatia. [1] The tournament was held in 1998 as WTA Tier IV level event. In 2022, the tournament made a comeback as a WTA 125 level event as a replacement for the Bol Open. [2]

The 1998 Croatian Bol Ladies Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts in Bol in Croatia that was part of Tier IV of the 1998 WTA Tour. It was the fifth edition of the tournament and was held from 27 April to 3 May 1998. Mirjana Lučić won the singles title.

The 1999 Croatian Bol Ladies Open doubles was the doubles event of the sixth edition of the Croatian Bol Ladies Open, a WTA Tier IV tournament and the most prestigious women's tennis tournament held in Croatia. Laura Montalvo and Paola Suárez were the defending champions, Montalvo having won the last three doubles competitions in Bol, but neither competed this year.

WTA 125 tournaments are an international series of professional women's tennis tournaments organized by the Women's Tennis Association since 2012.

The 2022 Makarska International Championships, also known as Makarska Open hosted by Valamar, was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the sixteenth edition of the tournament and part of the 2022 WTA 125 tournaments. The previous editions of the tournament were held in Bol as the Croatia Bol Ladies Open but in 2022, the event was relocated to Makarska which once hosted a WTA Tier-IV event in 1998. It took place from 31 May to 5 June 2022.

It was the eighteenth edition of the tournament and part of the 2024 WTA 125 tournaments. The event took place from 3 to 9 June 2024 at the Tennis Center in Makarska, Croatia.
