The 2024 American Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida from May 21 through May 26. The event, held at the end of the conference regular season, determined the champion of the American Athletic Conference for the 2022 season. The Tulane Green Wave won the double-elimination tournament and received the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. [2] [3]
The top eight baseball teams in The American were seeded based on their records in conference play. The tournament used a two bracket double-elimination format, leading to a single championship game between the winners of each bracket. [4] [5]

The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is a baseball tournament held each June in Omaha, Nebraska. The MCWS is the culmination of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Baseball Championship tournament—featuring 64 teams in the first round—which determines the NCAA Division I college baseball champion. The eight participating teams are split into two, four-team, double-elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket playing in a best-of-three championship series.

The winner of the double-elimination tournament, Cincinnati, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
The 2020–21 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season is scheduled to begin with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November 2020. Conference play will begin in December and conclude with the 2021 American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. With UConn's departure on July 1, 2020, the American is back at 11 teams. For the 2020-21 Season due to COVID-19 pandemic The scheduling format was changed to a 20-game, double round-robin conference schedules. Conference play in men’s basketball will began with three windows for games in December.
