The 2024 Angelo State Rams football team represents Angelo State University during the 2024 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC). Led by seventh-year head coach Jeff Girsch, the Rams play home games at LeGrand Sports Complex in San Angelo, Texas.
On November 9, with a 38–16 win over Western Oregon, the Rams won the LSC Championship. This was the program's second LSC title in three years. [1]
The LSC media poll was released on July 25, 2024. The Rams were predicted to finish second in the conference. [2]

The 2017 UT Permian Basin Falcons football team represented University of Texas of the Permian Basin in the 2017 NCAA Division II football season. They were led by second-year head coach Justin Carrigan. The Falcons played their home games at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa, Texas, with one home game played at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland, and were members of the Lone Star Conference (LSC).
The 2022 SMU Mustangs football team represented Southern Methodist University in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Mustangs played their home games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in University Park, Texas, a separate city within the city limits of Dallas, and competed in the American Athletic Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Rhett Lashlee.
The 2016 Texas A&M–Commerce Lions football team represented Texas A&M University–Commerce as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC) during the 2016 NCAA Division II football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Colby Carthel, the Lions compiled an overall record of 11–2 with a mark of 8–1 in conference play, winning the LSC title for the third consecutive season. Texas A&M–Commerce advanced to the NCAA Division II Football Championship playoffs for the fifth time in program history. In the first round, the Lions defeated Colorado Mesa, 34–23, for the program's first playoff win since 1991, but lost to the Grand Valley State, 55–32, in the second round. The Lions were ranked No. 9 in the final AFCA poll.
The 2023 Texas A&M Aggies football team represented Texas A&M University in the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Aggies played their home games at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, and competed in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They were led by Jimbo Fisher in his sixth year as the team's head coach before his firing on November 12, 2023. Defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator Elijah Robinson served as the team's interim head coach for the final 2 games of the season.

The program's inaugural season, the Falcons were led by head coach Justin Carrigan; Carrigan previously served as the offensive coordinator at Tarleton State.
