The 2024 UT Permian Basin Falcons football team represents the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) in the 2024 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC). They are led by second-year head coach Kris McCullough. [2] [3] The Falcons play most of their home games at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland, Texas while Ratliff Stadium in Odessa, Texas hosted one game. UTPB entered the 2024 season as the defending LSC champion. [4]

Offseason

Coaching changes

In June 2024, offensive coordinator Ryan Lusby was hired to be the head football coach for Dodge City Community College. [5] [6] [7] Quarterbacks' coach Kenny Hrncir was promoted to co-offensive coordinator, sharing offensive play calling duties with incumbent co-offensive coordinator Blake Crandall. [1]

The LSC media poll was released on July 25, 2024. The Falcons were predicted to finish third in the conference. [8]

Kenneth C. Hrncir is an American college football coach and former quarterback. He is the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Texas Permian Basin, positions he has held since 2024. He originally played for the East Central Tigers before transferring to the UT Permian Basin Falcons.

The 2022 East Central Tigers football team represented East Central University (ECU) in the 2022 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Great American Conference (GAC). The Tigers were led by Kris McCullough in his first and only season as head coach. The Tigers finished the season 9–3, going 8–3 in conference play to finish tied for third place in the GAC. This was the best finish in program history since the 1993 season when the Tigers finished 10–3 and won the NAIA Championship. The team played its home games at Koi Ishto Stadium in Ada, Oklahoma.

The 2024 Sul Ross Lobos football team represents Sul Ross State University during the 2024 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC). The Lobos are led by third-year head coach Barry Derickson and play their home games at Jackson Field in Alpine, Texas.
