The 2024 CONCACAF Girls' U-15 Championship is the fifth edition of this competition that takes place in Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Aruba during August 2024 [1] and will feature a record 34 member associations from CONCACAF. [2]

Contents

The United States won fourth consecutive titles, after defeating Mexico 3–0 in the final. [3]

Format

33 CONCACAF member associations have entered the 2024 edition, which features a three-league system. Each league will include a group stage followed by a playoff stage to determine the champion. The allocation of teams to each league is based on the March 2024 CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Rankings and the final number of participants.

The Caribbean Cup was the championship tournament for national association football teams that are members of the Caribbean Football Union.

The CONCACAF final round of the CONCACAF zone of the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification, was contested between the six remaining teams of the qualification process. The teams were placed into a single group, with matches played against each other on a home-and-away basis. The top three teams would qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Costa Rica topped the group with 23 points, and finished with the best record of any CONCACAF team in the history of the hexagonal.

The third round of qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup from the CONCACAF section featured the 12 winners from the second round. The draw took place on 25 November 2007 in Durban, South Africa.

The 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup women's football tournament was the second such tournament, and was held in Trinidad and Tobago from 5 to 25 September 2010. Sixteen teams, comprising representatives from all six confederations, took part in the final competition, in which Trinidad and Tobago had a guaranteed place as the host nation.

The 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League preliminary round was the first round of the 2009–10 CONCACAF Champions League. Sixteen teams were entered in this round, and were drawn into eight matchups that were contested in a two-legged tie. The first leg of each of the preliminary round matchups was played July 28–30, 2009, and the second leg was played August 4–6. This tournament's preliminary round was scheduled to begin one month earlier than the previous season in order to alleviate schedule congestion for participants due to fourth round of CONCACAF qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The matchup draw for the preliminary and group stages was conducted on June 11. The match schedule was announced five days later on June 16.

The group stage of the 2013–14 CONCACAF Champions League was played from August 6 to October 24, 2013. A total of 24 teams competed in the group stage.

The qualifying competitions for the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship were handled by two regional of CONCACAF's bodies; the Caribbean Football Union and the Central American Football Union.

2014 Women's Caribbean Cup. Twenty nations entered the First Round in 5 groups, but three withdrew before playing any match. The group winners and 2 best runners-up teams joined Trinidad and Tobago in the Second Round, split into 2 groups of 4. The Second Round group winners and runners-up qualified for the Championship. The Second Round group winners met for the Women's Caribbean Cup; the Second Round runners-up met for third place. Though announced as the inaugural edition, the Women's Caribbean Cup had been held once before in 2000. The tournament also served as a qualifier for the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship

The fourth round of CONCACAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 13 November 2015 to 6 September 2016.

The fifth round of CONCACAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 11 November 2016 to 10 October 2017. Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while Honduras advanced to the inter-confederation play-offs. The United States and Trinidad and Tobago were eliminated in this round.

The 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League A was the top division of the 2023–24 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, the third season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 41 member associations of CONCACAF. The initial group stage was held from 7 September 2023 to 17 October 2023.
