Dhaka, formerly known as Dacca, is the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is one of the most largest and most densely populated city in the world with a density of 23,234 people per square kilometre within a total area of approximately 300 square kilometres. Dhaka is a megacity, and has a population of 10.2 million residents as of 2024, and a population of over 23.9 million residents in Dhaka Metropolitan Area. It is widely considered to be the most densely populated built-up urban area in the world. Dhaka is an important cultural, economic, and scientific hub of Eastern South Asia, as well as a major Muslim-majority city. Dhaka ranks third in South Asia and 39th in the world in terms of GDP. Lying on the Ganges Delta, it is bounded by the Buriganga, Turag, Dhaleshwari and Shitalakshya rivers. Dhaka is also the largest Bengali-speaking city in the world.
Bashundhara City, often marketed as Bashundhara City Shopping Complex or Bashundhara City Shopping Mall, is a shopping mall in Dhaka. The mall is located in Panthapath, near Kawran Bazar, and was opened to the public on 6 August 2004. The building complex is 19 stories tall and covers an area of 17,763 m2 (191,200 sq ft), making it the second largest shopping mall in Bangladesh. It is also one of the largest shopping malls in South Asia, with up to 50,000 visitors each day.
Bailey Road is a well-known thoroughfare and an upscale area in Ramna, Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It is a classic road in Dhaka which runs through Shiddheswari, connecting Hare Road with Shantinagar junction. It is regarded as one of the busiest areas of the city, constructed during the colonial era, now serving both as a residential area for civil servants, high court judges as well as government offices and shopping malls and food courts. The Bailey Road is considered as two distinct roads, one after another, they are the new Bailey Road and the Bailey Road. The new Bailey Road is well recognised for its famous theatres, numerous boutiques, shops, schools, fast foods, restaurants and various hangout places. The old Bailey Road is reputable because of the officers club, Foreign Service academy and homes of ministers, officers and government officials. Bailey Road was featured in a song of the same name by Ayub Bachchu, lead singer of the popular rock band LRB. Bailey Road was officially renamed Natok Soroni, in recognition of the road's contributions to performing arts in the capital.
Khandakar Abdur Rashid, better known as Abdur Rashid Tarkabagish was a Bangladeshi politician and Islamic scholar. His career spans from the anti-colonial independence movement to the establishment of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. Tarkabagish was the second president of the All Pakistan Awami Muslim League, and served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and later the Parliament of Bangladesh. Despite being a member of the treasury bench, he opposed what he considered to be the repressive mentality of the Nurul Amin government towards the Bengali Language Movement.
Nangalkot is an upazila, an administrative unit, of the Comilla District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is a rural area with no urban settlements. It has 16 unions, the lowest of administrative units in Bangladesh. It is one of the 16 upazilas, the second tier of administrative units, of the Cumilla District. The language and culture of Nangalkot Upazila is reciprocally similar to the language of the greater Noakhali region.

The 2010 Dhaka fire was a fire in the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 3 June 2010, that killed at least 124 people. The fire occurred in the Nimtali area of Old Dhaka.
The 2012 Dhaka garment factory fire broke out on 24 November 2012, in the Tazreen Fashion factory in the Ashulia district on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. At least 117 people were confirmed dead in the fire, and over 200 were injured, making it the deadliest factory fire in the nation's history. The cause of the fire was not determined. It was initially presumed to be caused by an electrical short circuit, the cause of 80% of factory fires in Bangladesh. A widely criticized government report alleged an act of "sabotage", without identifying who committed it or why. This fire and others similar to it have led to numerous proposed reforms in workers' rights and safety laws in Bangladesh.
Banani is an upscale residential and commercial neighbourhood and a thana of Dhaka. It hosts five-star hotels, upscale restaurants, luxury apartments, international schools, and the offices of many local and multinational companies. Banani is considered an important central business district, and its commercial landscape is among the most important in Dhaka, coming after the likes of the nearby financial district of Gulshan Avenue, Karwan Bazar, Tejgaon Industrial Area and downtown Motijheel CBD, the nation's largest and most important CBD.
On 20 February 2019, a fire broke out in Dhaka, Bangladesh following a road accident between a pickup van and a private car. After the collision, the car's gas cylinder exploded. The fire then spread to a group of nearby buildings being used to store chemicals, and quickly spread in the densely packed historic district of Chowk Bazaar in Old Dhaka. The fire left at least 80 people dead and 50 others injured.

He is the founder and principal architect of Volumezero Limited, and was the co-founder of Vistaara Architects.
