The European Masters Athletics Championship Non-Stadia 2024 were the 19th edition of the European Masters Athletics Championships and were held in Porto Santo, Portugal, from 17 to 19 May 2024. [1]
There was a total of 424 participants from 25 countries competing. [2] [3] 10 events were held: 10K run with team rankings [4] , half marathon with team rankings [5] , 10 kilometres race walk with team rankings [6] , 20 kilometres race walk with team rankings [7] , nordic walking (10 and 5 km depending on age category) [8] and cross country running relay 3×2 km. [9] Portugal headed the medal table on 50 gold medals. [3]

The African Championships in Athletics is a continental athletics event organized by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), the continental association for the sport in Africa. Elena Fidatov, sometimes known as Elena Fidatof, is a former Romanian middle- and long-distance runner who competed in track, road, and cross country running competitions. In a period spanning 1984 to 2002, she competed at IAAF World Cross Country Championships on thirteen occasions, making her one of the most frequent participants at the event. She is a two-time Olympian for Romania, having represented her country at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics.
The Japan Championships in Athletics is an annual outdoor track and field competition, organized by Japan Association of Athletics Federations. Currently it takes place in June or July. The competition is also for the qualifying trial for the Japanese national team of international competitions.

The 2022 European Athletics Championships were the 25th edition of the European Athletics Championships and were held in Munich, Germany, from 15 to 21 August 2022.
Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run on 1 to 11 August 2024, featuring a total of 48 medal events across three distinct sets: track and field, road running, and racewalking. Four venues are to be used: Pont d'Iéna for race walking, Hôtel de Ville and Les Invalides for the start and end points of the marathon races, and Stade de France for the track and field events.
Akshdeep Singh is an Indian athlete from Punjab who competes in the 20 kilometres race walk, supported by OGQ. He holds the Indian National record in 20km race walk. He qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in the 20 km race walk and the mixed marathon race walking which makes its debut at the Paris Olympics, along with Priyanka Goswami.
