Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suárez were the two-time defending champions, but they were defeated in the second round by Anna Chakvetadze and Elena Vesnina.
Arthur Ashe defeated defending champion Jimmy Connors in the final, 6–1, 6–1, 5–7, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 1975 Wimbledon Championships. It was his first Wimbledon singles title and third and last major singles title overall. He became the first Black man to win the singles title at Wimbledon, and the second Black player to do so overall, after Althea Gibson.
Defending champion Althea Gibson defeated Angela Mortimer in the final, 8–6, 6–2 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1958 Wimbledon Championships.
Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe defeated Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in the final, 3–6, 7–6(7–2), 7–6(8–6) to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2018 US Open. They saved three championship points en route to the title.
Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig were the defending champions and successfully defended their title, defeating Gabriela Dabrowski and Mate Pavić in a rematch of the 2018 final, 6–1, 7–6(7–5). becoming the first team in the Open era to win back-to-back French Open mixed doubles titles.

Aslan Karatsev defeated Andy Murray in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Sydney Tennis Classic. This was Murray's first ATP final since he won the 2019 European Open.
Daria Kasatkina defeated Shelby Rogers in the final, 6–7(2–7), 6–1, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Silicon Valley Classic. With the win, Kasatkina re-entered the world's Top 10 in rankings for the first time since 2019, reaching a new career high of No. 9.
Defending champions Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2023 Australian Open. It was their second Australian Open title and seventh major title together, and they extended their winning streak at the majors to 24 matches with the win, dating back to the 2022 Australian Open.
Destanee Aiava and Naiktha Bains were the defending champions from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but with Bains choosing not to participate, Aiava played alongside Maddison Inglis, but lost in the final to Talia Gibson and Priscilla Hon.

Defending champion Katie Boulter defeated Karolína Plíšková in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Nottingham Open. Boulter became the first woman in the tournament's history to defend the title, and became the second player to win the tournament twice, after Elena Baltacha.
Destanee Aiava and Maddison Inglis were the defending champions but chose to participate with different partners. Aiava partnered alongside Petra Hule but lost in the first round to Paige Hourigan and Erika Sema.
