Katarzyna "Kasia" Niewiadoma is a Polish racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Canyon–SRAM. Among her eighteen professional wins are the Amstel Gold Race in 2019, the Trofeo Alfredo Binda-Comune di Cittiglio in 2018, and The Women's Tour stage race in 2017. She has twice finished third overall in the Tour de France Femmes, in 2022 and 2023, taking the Queen of the Mountains jersey in 2023. In 2023 she became UCI Gravel World Champion.

Riejanne Ockeloen-Markus is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team Visma–Lease a Bike. In 2022, Markus won the Dutch National Road Race Championships. A year later she won the Dutch National Time Trial Championships, beating Demi Vollering and Annemiek van Vleuten. Markus is the older sister of SD Worx rider Femke Markus, but they are not related to Barry Markus and his sister Kelly Markus. On 21 October 2023 she married Dutch cyclist, beachracer and gravel specialist Jasper Ockeloen.

The 2022 Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta is a women's road cycling stage race that was held in Spain from 7 to 11 September 2022. It was the eighth edition of the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta and was the twenty-second event on the 2022 UCI Women's World Tour calendar. As with previous editions, the final day of the race coincided with the final day of the men's race.
The 2023 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included twenty-seven road cycling events throughout the 2023 women's cycling season. It was the eighth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with the Women's Tour Down Under from 15 to 17 January, and finished with the Tour of Guangxi on 17 October.
