2024 Prime Volleyball League (also known as PVL 2024 or RuPay PVL 2024) is the third season of the Prime Volleyball League, a franchise based Indian indoor volleyball league, organized by Baseline Ventures. [1]

The Prime Volleyball League 2024 winner will qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship 2024 to be held in India.

Format

Nine teams are contesting in the third season with the addition of Delhi Toofans. There are a total of 36 matches with each team plays against each other in a single round-robin format with the top 5 teams moving into the Super 5. [2]

Venue

All the matches are held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. [2]

If the teams are level on points, the number of sets won will be taken into consideration. The top five teams at the end of the league stage will move into the Super-5.

The Premier Volleyball League 1st Season Reinforced Open Conference was the first conference of the Premier Volleyball League. Conference started on April 30, 2017 and concluded on June 13, 2017. All elimination round games were played at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the semifinals and Finals games were held at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

The 2019 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the third season of the Premier Volleyball League that started on May 26, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

The 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the seventh conference of the Premier Volleyball League. Conference started on May 26, 2019. Grand Fans Day was held at the Trinoma Activity Center, Quezon City on April 25, 2019. Games were held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Philippines. Philippine Army returned as Pacific Town-Army Lady Troopers and Motolite Power Builders returned with a new set of players.

Later in the year 2022 the league was rebranded as Prime Volleyball League.

The PSL–PVL merger was the proposed merger of the Philippines' top-flight women's volleyball leagues, the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) and the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The scheduling of both leagues has hampered the program of the Philippines national team and a merger of the two leagues has been proposed to remedy the issue. The PVL has been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to begin team practices to be followed by the official start of the 2021 season.

The inaugural season took place in February 2022. The league is an initiative of Baseline Ventures with no involvement from Volleyball Federation of India and a rechristened version of the Pro Volleyball League which was held in February 2019. Sony Pictures Networks India is the official broadcaster of the league. RuPay is the title sponsor of the league and signed the contract for three years.

The 2023 Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference was the sixteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League. The tournament began on October 15, 2023. This tournament was set to be the second post-pandemic import-laden conference known as the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, with the Angels set to defend their crown, but was made into a second All-Filipino Conference as a consequence of sanctions from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
