Kolkata Thunderbolts is a men's volleyball team from Kolkata, West Bengal playing in the Prime Volleyball League in India. [1] The team was founded in 2021 and owned by Kolkata Sports Ventures. They won the inaugural, 2022 PVL season by defeating Ahmedabad Defenders 3-0 in the final. [2]

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. Pro Volleyball League (PVL) was a professional men's indoor volleyball league in India. The inaugural season took place in February 2019. The league was an initiative between the Volleyball Federation of India, Head Digital Works Pvt. Ltd. and Baseline Ventures. The inaugural season of the league was won by Chennai Spartans. Later in the year 2022 the league was rebranded as Prime Volleyball League.

The league is an initiative of Baseline Ventures with no involvement from Volleyball Federation of India and a rechristened version of the Pro Volleyball League which was held in February 2019. Sony Pictures Networks India is the official broadcaster of the league. RuPay is the title sponsor of the league and signed the contract for three years.

2022 Prime Volleyball League is the inaugural season of the Prime Volleyball League, a franchise based Indian Indoor Volleyball League which is organized by Baseline Ventures. This edition of the league will feature seven teams from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Kolkata and the tournament is scheduled to be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad from 5 to 27 February 2022.

The 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the fifth season of the Premier Volleyball League that started on March 16, 2022, with the 2022 Open Conference. This is the second year of PVL as a professional league that held a three conferences in one season after a lone conference last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2023 Prime Volleyball League was the second season of the Prime Volleyball League, a franchise based Indian indoor volleyball league, organized by Baseline Ventures.
